Do not move here
Signing a lease here was a bad decision. The leasing office takes no accountability for the horrible parking conditions. We have been living here for 6 months now and just found out PARKING IS NOT GUARANTEED. You may not have a parking spot in the place you call home. Don’t get me started on the bug infestation. Hidden fees every month. Avoid at all costs, although seems like most people are staying away with all the available units here. There will probably be new management in the next few months again. We are counting down the days til the lease is over.

Things always changing but never for the good
This place looks ok. Close to the highway but that's all you've got. The parking spaces are small, dog poop everywhere even next to the trash stations designed to pick up dog poop. The walls are thin you an hear everything. The staff is nice but the living situation is trying.

Our experience here has been mostly good. We love our apartment location close to the leasing office, and the updated apartment amenities. It's quiet and there is always parking which is so nice. Our experience with pet rent has been incredibly difficult and annoying despite doing everything right, but otherwise we'd recommend this location to simple folks looking for an easy place to live.

Amazinggggg Upgrades
The upgrades in my apartment are soooo beautiful. I love the bright countertops and cabinets. I honestly wish there was more carpet in the apartment, but I know that wood floors are the thing these days. Overall I'm super happy here.

Great living area. Great layout and features in the apartment. So far so good. I did have trouble with the moving in process with lack of communication from the management office but they professionally dealt with the issue, once the severity of the issue was brought to their attention. I love these apartments! They are so clean and refreshing. The backsplash and white counters make the kitchen beautiful.

Poor management, AC always breaking
I'm finally moving out. The AC has been broken for the entire year I've lived here. They've refilled the freon twice, and I've had to flip the circuit breaker on the AC weekly. My suggestion from the maintenance crew was to just call the managers. I'm paying rent to live comfortably, not sweat in my underwear on my couch. They refused to fix the issues I've had and instead only put band-aids on the AC. Avoid this place at all costs. Don't waste your time or money here.

Worse place to live
It's been 3 months since we moved in here. The experience is terrible over all. The management of this complex is unprofessional and extremely unreliable. On the moving date our apartment was not ready at all. It was filthy; from hairs in bathrooms to meat blood in fridge. Carpets in the entire apartment were really dirty and obviously never been cleaned before, our feet were like we walked barefoot outside for a while. A lot of things were broken (patio door, cabinets in the kitchen, shades etc). They fixed it in a months or so. They hired cleaning companies twice which could not get the job done properly because managers only paid them for touch-up (obvious it was not enough for such a dirty apartment). In the end we cleaned everything by ourselves because our 14 month old son started to get really bad rash. We actually got $200 credit for all this which is just a joke. In a week or so we got leak on our kitchen ceiling. But before we sent them a maintenance request saying that is probably a leak but they said it is not. Next day at 12am the water started leaking constantly like a fountain and they had to come and fix it till 3am. The list is endless and we still getting some issues with this place. There is a lot of places around. Make the right choice and stay away from this place unless you want to be miserable.

DO NOT MOVE HERE
DO NOT MOVE HERE!! They are shutting off water for TEN DAYS this month!! Doing repairs on pipes is leaving us in barbaric conditions! I work nights so 9-5 pm for ten days is ten days with no shower, no washing dishes, no laundry and no flushing toilets!! The management company thinks this is no big deal and telling me I’m being unreasonable! Can you imagine being home all day with kids and no water??? They want me to wait until the weekend to wash dishes and do laundry. And go to a vacant apartment to take showers! WHAT??! I have to pay my full rent but cannot do the basics. That’s unaccceptable!!!

Best Townhome
I love my townhome. It has a half bath for guests and two full baths in our rooms. I wanted something that was two levels to keep the noise a minimum and it has been great living here. I am relocating soon and thankful for the experience I've had here.

Happy resident
Centrally located and affordable. Lived at place over 7 years which is by far the longest apartment I've ever lived at. Felt like home and a very nice place to live. Pretty decent walls so can't hear neighbors. No place is perfect. I had my car broken into one time. Piping seems bad with potential of leaks and then carpet may need to be replaced.

Continued flooding issues
Since we moved into the complex 4 months ago, every time it rains, a corner of our apartment leaks right next to an outlet. The incoming rain is regularly enough to soak through 3 large beach towels (depending on the amount of rain received). Despite it being dangerously close to an electric outlet, they have continued to postpone repairs to fix the leak, due to the “contractor rescheduling”. In addition to the flooding, we moved into an apartment with a stove and microwave that didn’t work properly, we had broken cabinetry, torn linoleum flooring in the kitchen, and multiple doors that were hung crooked (including the front door, which has led to outrageous electric bills). It’s incredibly disappointing that they would rent an apartment in this condition to new tenants. Additionally there is loud music blaring often in the early morning hours, and the parking spots are 2 feet narrower than the recommended size of a compact spot (per City of Dallas). I would recommend steering clear of this place.

Practically fraud
Overcharged me by 900 dollars over the past year for a garage that I NEVER EVEN HAD, and then instead of giving me the credit on this month's rent, they somehow managed to add an additional four hundred dollars to my rent this month. If this were an isolated incident, I wouldn't have bothered signing up for this dumb website to leave a review, but this is basically how they run their business 24/7.

Terrible Customer Service and Good Luck with Parking
Customer service is awful and just speaks in a friendly voice. On multiple occasions, there has been no parking available and they refuse to be of any assistance, and instead recommended that I park three blocks away and walk back in the dark of night to resolve the problem, even though we have designated parking. Ashli and the other assistant manager will speak in a condescending tone, even when you've encountered towing. In addition, they have a third party handle the billing, which is a faulty online system that doesn't answer phone calls. When my roommate and I set-up our online accounts for rent pay, their online system charged HER for MY larger part of the rent, which her bank flagged as fraud. What did La Costa Villas Management do? Charged me for a "bounced check" fee of $90. When I tried to explain the situation, their only answer was that they didn't control the third party so it wasn't their fault and I was still liable. This company and management works against their customers, instead of for them. We can't wait to move out. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Any website that reviews them will give you a variety of unhappy and suffering customers.

RUN
This complex is horrible for several reasons: the parking spaces cannot fit a full-size vehicle, the complex changes policies, management, and employees freequently, you pay extra to park 50 yards from your door, things break frequently and are never fixed in a timely manner, if at all. The management will, at their sole discretion, add random charges to your bill for penalties; if you dispute any charges, they will point to the contract-page 26, paragraph 6, sentence 4-and say we can do what we want. This is the manager so don't think these intolerable actions are only done by lower-level employees! If you consider this complex due to the price, you should keep looking. The damage to your vehicle, hidden costs, and fabricated fees will result in a damaged vehicle, high fees, and stress. There are too many apartments in the area to settle for this headache-filled residence!

If I could give 0 stars I would.
The property itself is nice. I enjoyed living here. The maintenance team is wonderful and gets things fixed quickly if you have any problems. HOWEVER. This complex seems to have a problem with good employees. They always end up firing the employees that are friendly and do their jobs well, and instead hire HORRIBLE people. The residents call the current assistant manager at the property "Hitler". Her name is Amanda, and SHE. IS. HORRIBLE. God forbid you have a question about anything, because she will yell at you, and I do mean yell at you. She will degrade you and make you feel like you are inferior. There are multiple residents who are afraid to even go inside the office, because she is mean to them. If you yell back at her, she will have to take a "mental health day" because you just hurt her feelings so much. I am telling you. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE as long as this woman is still working in the office. You will eventually have a problem with rent or something else, and she will make you wish you had never moved in. She can and will make it unbearable to live at the complex. Her manager, and her manager's manager have all been informed of this problem with her, and they have done nothing about it. Except fire the only person in the office that the residents are all comfortable with (Cole). Don't do it, you have been warned.

Awful
We only lived there one lease term. Our apartment flooded everytime it rained. They attempted several times to have people fix the leaks, but it was never successful. My car was hit on two occasions, while parked in my paid parking spot. Cars were broken into. Car alarms go off at every hour of the night on a nightly basis. I am currently in month two of waiting for them to come clean up and fix several mold spots.

Better than most...but not perfect.
We have lived here @ La Costa Villas for 2 years. Pros: - Staff is generally friendly and helpful. - Apartments and grounds are clean. - We had a few noise complaints w/ the neighbor and the office and courtesy officer addressed them immediately and we have not had any more issues...the same neighbor is still living there. - Great location - easy access to 75 and 635. Very close to White Rock Creek hike/bike trail. - Gates worked 97% of the time. - Never lost a package delivered to the office. - Maintenance request filled quicker than any other apartments I've stayed at. Cons: - Within the last year, there has been an significant increase in apartment and vehicle break-ins. The office has notified everyone each time and apparently, DPD is paying attention and has had at least 1 sting recently. - Not many parking spots. There are a few garages and several covered spots for a reasonable fee. Also, all spots are very narrow. - Rent raised fast and we were told that it is controlled by Westdale HQ, so there is no negotiating. - Not sure if it's just our apartment, but the floors creak like crazy. We're on the top 2 floors so I don't know if downstairs neighbor can hear it, but we've never had a noise complaint filed.
