worst leasing apartments ever seen.... many pics to share showing this, but unfortunately cannot be uploaded...
The apartment is real nice and spacious, leasing staff are friendly, packages are handled well and maintained good. We need a home to keep us safe , comfortable and secure. Important issue is : Forget safety and security in the complex. Gates are open to everyone. There was a burglary in the apartment , it is not midnight , just at 10:45 PM. It is astonishing to see the zero response attitude of the Knox management of such high risk event. We were lucky to have got away with huge monitory loss only!!! There was no communication on security & safety breaches to others in the community or any action to increase safety and security measures. No CCTV cameras anywhere except near trash. So what is the management wanting to do or conveying here? When questioned about CCTV cameras, the leasing office lady was saying, it will increase my rent. How much does a security camera cost? And how many are needed in a campus?? Hardly at entry and exit points of gates & individual blocks??? There is free access to one and all, main gates are mostly open. External people freely move and loot as their wish. Just yesterday I had a chat regarding this incident with a neighbor & she immediately reported about an intrusion into her porch at 8:30 am!!!! When questioned on gates , I hear that people are crashing into them to make them non-functional for days. No person from the community will do this repeatedly like this , only intruders do and they don't a way to catch or stop them!! Don't come to this apartments , don't even view them, for looks can be deceiving. The beautiful duck pond won't keep your loved ones safe , secure or offer protection. You are not safe in Knox at Westchase. You are better off in another safer community with preventive security systems. The staff staying on campus, please remember , you are also not safe.

We regret big time why moved here! Our apartment had a break-in last week, everything got tossed about and we suffered a major loss. The police came and it took the security guard an hour to come to our apartment. I called the maintenance to come fix my lock door because I need to be safe that night. No one came until the next morning I had to call them again. They just came to replace the KEY! Nothing else! How can you imagine if the thief come back and kill me? Breaking and no action taken by management. This apartment becomes very unsafe Place to live. YOU WILL GET ROBBED HERE! and management are care less, they do nothing to prevent crime! management is not supportive , no safety. Unsecured entrance gate. WORST PART IS MANAGEMENT DOESN'T EVEN CARE ABOUT THIS. ITS TOO BAD WE ARE PAYING MONEY WHERE WE DONT FEEL SECURE ABOUT OURSELVES. DON'T COME TO THIS APARTMENT MANAGEMENT IS REALLY WORST , IF THEY TOOK ACTION EARLIER, THIS WOULDN'T BE POSSIBLE TO BE HAPPENED YESTERDAY. People got robbed when the sun goes down.There's no elements that make criminals feel they are being watched, and you would think they'd take measure to keep their tenents safe but they dont. Guys please chose your safety first. DON'T CHOOSE THIS APARTMENT, THERE ARE PLENTY OF APARTMENTS THERE, GO AND FIND WHERE YOU FEEL MORE SAFE. I sincerely hope that it's time for the higher management to take matter into their hands and do something such as that we could live peacefully. Knox at Westchase is not a safe place to live!
I have lived for one year there, the apartments is not safe, the management do not care at all, gate are open all the time, there is broken window or broken car almost every other day, apartment are good from inside to be honest or at least the one i lived in before. i have referred two people to this apartments and both times they told me we will not give you your money and the second times they told me you did not signed the paper (for referral) we can not find it in our files which is a big lie (i brought my friend to the leasing office and we both signed the paper), i will never stop writing on this property they are a gang lead by the manager who give them the instruction to do so. i asked her to check with the employee that she received the paper from me and my referee and she said we cant find it i don't need to ask her!
Management changes every two months. Good luck to get anything fixed. They are always trying to find ways to charge you extra. The room is infested with roaches and fleas. Noisy neighbors everywhere. Lack of parking after 5 pm. Smelly rooms with low quality appliances.
Its good in sense of aminities. also metro station is very nearby so its easy to commute anywhere.
I've lived here for about 4 years and overall the apartments are okay. The staff is okay some of them could use better attitudes. The crime in the area is there but not horrible, I've never had any issues. The walls are thin in the apartments so be prepared to hear your neighbors but overall the complex is nice. I don't think their prices are as competitive as other complexes but for the area you are in its not too bad.
This apartment is lovely! I moved in after my divorce and it was not easy. They made me feel right at home. I love all the amenities and the gym is just what I needed. I am so glad to call this apartment my home. I give The Lodge at Shadowlake Apartments 5 stars.
As far as my apartment, I absolutely love it. I just resigned my lease for another 12 months. The layout is great and the balcony is huge. The management is tolerable. They have always responded quickly to any request I've had, except for one time but I just avoid dealing with her. My smoke detector was going off nonstop every 3-5 minutes and was really loud and scared my dog. I didn't know if it was carbon monoxide alarm or what but I am positive it was the battery. I've changed the battery in both at two separate times and know the sound. I stopped by office on my way to work which I had to wait for to open and when I told the chick, she told me there are other requests ahead of me like leaks. I'm pretty sure a leak is not life threatening but maybe she didn't know better. Annoyed that I was told when moving in I am not to change the batteries in the smoke detectors myself and I would need to call after hours maintenance if it ever happened at that time, I asked her if someone could call me or somehow let me know it's been looked at and my dog and I are safe to be inside. She said okay and the I get home that evening and nothing, no phone call, no note, no email. Other than that, I've been fully satisfied with everything else living here. I've seen very few bugs in my apartment, but I will take credit for that bc I spray on the regular. You have to request for your unit to sprayed for bugs here and they literally make an appearance and are gone so I use the raid bug barrier and it's awesome. Also, enjoy the area and the sourroundingg parameters of the complex. I'd recommend to someone.
