Central Ann Arbor is an Ann Arbor neighborhood a step east of Detroit. The University of Michigan is right outside of Central Ann Arbor and shapes the neighborhood. The University of Michigan’s research hospital and surrounding medical complex makes up the northern section of Central Ann Arbor, while the University of Michigan’s Nichols Arboretum is situated to the west of the hospital. Don't Trust the Landlord, 2019
I have lived here for 2 years, 2017-2019, only because he made me sign the next year lease right when I moved in. (It is a private owner, no longer Idle Hour). During this time, there were no working laundry facilities (the washer and dryer flooded regularly and were from 1992.) The landlord swindled me out of hundreds of dollars of my security deposit upon moving out after signing a document in person stating he would return it. He started construction without my consent, which included ripping the entire external wall off of my bedroom while I was still in the apartment. All of the amenities he promised such as new kitchen floors and a deck were never done, but included in the agreed upon rent price, and parking was so bad there were multiple wrecks behind the house during the year. He is a terrible landlord, you can find a much better place in a much more convenient part of Ann Arbor for less than he charges. Do NOT live here!
