Seymour/Naugatuck/Ansonia is a large area encompassing a collection of neighborhoods east of the Naugatuck River. The northern section of the area is comprised mostly of forests hiding a few residential areas, but the eastern and southern portions of the community are less secluded. Highway 8 runs through the eastern section of town connecting residents to other parts of New England including New Haven, located 10 miles southeast. The highway also features commercial developments as several shopping centers are located along or just off the road. Renters will find that rental options are centered along this road as well. Apartments in a range of styles and prices are situated in proximity to the main thoroughfare.

Property Ratings at Horizon Homes
Rented an apartment here for two years. It was a great price, a safe environment, and well managed. If you are looking for a place in Naugatuck, you should check them out for sure.
Overall, a good place to live- it is safe, has a great neighborhood, people are friendly. At the start of living there, we felt very welcomed, and whenever we had a maintenance issue we were gladly helped. However, as the year went on, maintenance became less responsive, the office was mostly closed and the worker there would rarely get back to me on phone calls and some emails. Fortunately, it did not affect me much, but I felt less supported. The biggest issue was surrounding the pool. More often than not, it was closed (despite beautiful summer days!) and there was very poor communication with tenants with hour changes. It honestly became very shady in terms of having available lifeguards but the pool being closed either way without further communication to tenants. It was a real shame and had horizon homes had a better way of communicating and listening to tenants, I would not be as disappointed in the company as I currently am.
Not only is this a beautiful place, the leasing agents are very professional yet personable. They keep in contact with you regarding everything, their communication is excellent! The apartment itself is large and has plenty of closet space. The kitchen is very cute as well, lots of cabinet space and updated appliances and also includes a microwave. I love my deck too perfect for meditation or just to relax after a long day working. It's a very scenic area. I look forward to the years to come living here.

We lived here for almost 2.5 years, until we recently moved into different state. On a simpler note, it is one of a finest and peaceful place. Spacious units, and we get all the basic amenities for reasonable rent. Leasing office was always amazing and their maintenance team was too good and timely. Overall we had an amazing stay and would recommend Horizon Homes for anyone looking for peaceful and a pleasant stay.

I am not kidding. They are ripping balconies that people pay for off their apartments at 7 am and waking up the entire complex. You would be better off trying to sleep at a heavy metal concert. This happens literally EVERY day.

Thank you for your comments, and we apologize for any disturbance the building upgrade project has caused you. It wouldn't be our first choice to remove any amenity our residents enjoy but some decks have had to be removed for safety reasons. One of the nicest parts of our property - that it is heavily wooded - also makes it the most challenging for wood buildings and decks. The upgrade project includes putting in all-new energy-efficient windows in the two affected buildings - and modernizing those buildings with new insulation and siding. There is certainly no good time to make loud noises but the goal is to get the project done in the shortest reasonable amount of time to minimize the disruption.
The leasing office is the absolute worst here. They have a reputation for lying to absolutely everyone and if you trust a word they say, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!
Been here for 2 yrs and it's been a great experience. Great atmosphere and very quiet tranquil place. The amenities and location are the best.
Great staff and amenities. Pool and tennis courts are always clean and not crowded. Heat and water included. Maintenance well kept up. Have been here for two years and never had a problem.
