During three exciting days in June, multifamily professionals descended on New Orleans to explore the latest industry trends. For the thousands of attendees who joined Apartments.com, this year’s NAA Apartmentalize delivered nonstop energy. With the latest technological innovations on display at the Apartments.com Innovation Lab, attendees could get a glimpse of the present — and future — of multifamily marketing. And after hours at Brad Bash, the biggest party in Apartmentalize history, the music didn’t stop until late into the night.

The Innovation Lab offers a peek into the future of leasing

If you visited the Apartments.com booth, you couldn’t miss the Innovation Lab. The heart of the booth, this interactive space offered demos of the cutting-edge technology available today from Apartments.com — plus a glimpse of what’s just around the corner.

Renters search smarter with Apartments.com Ai

Apartments.com Ai is revolutionizing how renters search, again, with a conversational search experience that replaces traditional filters and keywords with natural, back‑and‑forth interactions. Renters can describe exactly what they want — by typing or speaking — and refine their search in real time. The AI-powered search tool pulls insights from listings, amenities, photos, and more to deliver personalized responses. Available to every renter in every search, this new search experience supports 50 languages and answers renters’ follow-up questions.

By giving renters deeper, more detailed information upfront, Apartments.com Ai helps prospects become more qualified by the time they submit a lead. And the data backs this up: AI-powered search converts traffic to leads at a rate 56 percent higher than traditional search, according to recent analysis.

Visitors to the Innovation Lab — including Jeff Goldblum himself, of Brad Bellflower fame — tried out Apartments.com Ai for themselves.

“I loved it,” Goldblum said afterwards. “I saw the future, and I want to be part of it.”

Show off your property inside and out

With Matterport Exterior-to-Interior 3D Tours, your prospects can get the full experience of visiting your community — without even stepping onto your property.

Coming soon, this integrated virtual experience offers a full view of your property, including a seamless transition from outside in. Prospective residents can see what your community looks like from the outside, including outdoor spaces and aerial views showing the surrounding neighborhood, and then step into virtual tours of your individual units and indoor common areas.

With AI-powered features, prospects can easily remove furniture and view room measurements to get a better understanding of the space.

With the release of Matterport Exterior-to-Interior 3D Tours, Apartments.com will be the only rental listing site to offer seamlessly integrated virtual tours that connect interior and exterior views.

ChatGPT integration helps renters dive into your listings

With a soon-to-be-released app on ChatGPT, renters can use the popular AI platform to browse Apartments.com listings in depth, the most powerful listings in multifamily.

The Apartments.com app within ChatGPT lets renters view listings directly within the conversational interface. With complete media, such as photos, videos, and 3D tours, renters can fully see your community — and browse essential details like pricing, availability, and amenities.

And when they’re ready to take the next step, they can send a message, schedule a tour, or submit an application from directly within the app.

2 onsite staff members take home a total of $110k

What would you do with 10 grand — or 100 grand? That question isn’t theoretical for Jamey Crosson and Lena Ulloa, the latest winners in the Apartments.com annual cash giveaway at NAA Apartmentalize.

Jamey Crosson of Arlington Properties was the lucky name pulled on Thursday afternoon for the $10,000 giveaway. Not only did the regional manager from Birmingham, Alabama, win the cash prize but he also got the chance to meet and be congratulated by celebrity Heidi Gardner, of Homes.com fame, who announced the winner.

“I never win anything, ever,” Jamey said. “I seriously can’t believe this. Thank you guys so much.”

But $10,000 was just the beginning of the cash extravaganza. On Friday, Apartments.com gave away a prize 10 times bigger to wrap up the tradeshow. And Jeff Goldblum was there to share the news. Lena Ulloa of Advanced Property Management scored the grand prize: $100,000.

And like Jamey, the community director at Mission Lofts in Riverside, California, couldn’t believe her luck.

“Oh my God, I don’t know what to say,” Lena said upon reaching the stage.

Crying, she shared the news with her mother by phone.

“It’s $100,000, Mom,” she said, tears streaming down her face.

Attendees snap selfies with star guests

At last year’s Apartmentalize conference, visitors to the Apartments.com booth could take hologram photos with Brad Bellflower, inventor of the apartminternet.

This June, the hologram photo booth was back — but with a twist. Jeff Goldblum, the iconic star behind the Brad Bellflower persona, made an appearance in the flesh. He was joined by Homes.com’s Heidi Gardner. Hundreds of attendees lined up to take a photo with the stars.

Thousands visit the booth

Thousands of attendees stopped by the Apartments.com booth to get the latest insights, product demonstrations, and exclusive swag items. Multifamily marketing decision-makers met with Apartments.com representatives for personalized walkthroughs of the latest products and features. They also picked up special tarot cards — with a leasing twist — and lined up to customize Apartments.com tote bags with multifamily-themed patches.

Crowds dance the night away at Brad Bash

The buzz was already building before the tradeshow opened on Thursday morning. Thousands of attendees packed Generations Hall for Brad Bash, an unforgettable party Wednesday night featuring live music, local Louisiana cuisine, and signature Crescent City cocktails. Headlined by the Barenaked Ladies, the party featured five stages of live music, including Cowboy Mouth, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Big Easy Jazz Trio, and Rock Show NOLA, plus dueling pianos.

Apartments.com partnered with Entrata After Dark to host the event, which continued late into the night with a lively karaoke finale.
