Property Ratings at Emerson at Montford Park
Generally speaking I found Emerson to be a great place to live. The location is great; it is within walking distance to grocery and retail stores, nightlife, etc, and is in a great area for walking, running, and biking. The staff are friendly and attentive to residents’ needs. There are some great amenities-pool, dog park, fitness center, etc. Maintenance requests are always completed in a timely manner. Recently there has been a lot of fire alarm testing, which has been less than desirable, and there was a carbon monoxide alert which for me created concern and confusion as there was no email communication from staff about it. I thought the alert was real and only learned that it was a test after calling the front office. There were no subsequent emails about it. But again, over all this is a great place to live, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Emerson at Montford Park is a great place to live! The leasing staff and property management care about their residents and make you feel comfortable living here. The amenities are a great bonus, including the pool which makes you feel like you’re at a resort! Also, maintenance is wonderful here and they work fast to fix any requests you have. Nice people who care about your living experience. If you’re looking for a newer luxury-style apartment, Emerson is a fantastic choice! The neighborhood is one of my favorites and it’s easy to walk for food, coffee and groceries!

Everything about the apartment is great other than the constant noise from upstairs. It’s a clean, nice place to live and in a great neighborhood. The inside and outside of the apartment are well maintained. The only negative is insane amounts of noise from upstairs and hearing people stomping around from 6:45 in the morning until 9 pm at night. You can hear everything. Washer and dryer, cabinets being shut, walking. Makes it hard to sleep but other than that the move in process was smooth and the apartment itself is great.
Lived here for 4* years now. Overall it’s okay - wish they would clean the elevators more frequently they get gross quickly. Amenities are nice. Havent attended an event lately but they used to be fun
I had a great experience living at this property, great office communications and excellent service requests. Everything is well maintained as well.

Honestly the best apartment experience I’ve had in Charlotte. Only place I’ve re-signed. Amenities are great, and very minimal noise (which is huge for me).
I love living here. I like how they keep everything in order and under control. I like that they enforce rules so that everything is balanced and suitable for everyone:)

The staff here is friendly and nice and maintenance requests are always attended to on a timely manner. For example, last week there was an issue with my thermostat, and maintenance responded to the issue immediately and fixed it.
Idiotic package system. Instead of a package room or lockers, you have a separate address packages go to that’s not your apartment address. They don’t tell you that when you move in so good luck getting your internet equipment if it’s shipped. Plus this package “service” costs money despite being much worse than just having a package room

Overall we’ve had a good experience. Amenities are nice, and usually kept clean. Apartments are small for the price, but relatively nice. Love that it’s dog friendly.

I love it here.The staff are phenomenal and the structure itself is beautiful.i thoroughly enjoy the pool and my daughter enjoys being so close to a Greenway to ride her bike.

Great experience live at Emerson at Montford Park, staff really nice and helpful, they always try to feel you comfortable and safe with the amenities.
Has been a great place to live. Decided to stay for another year. Great apartments and awesome amenities. Close to Montford restaurants, park road shopping center and little sugar creek parkway.
Good place to live if you want a one bedroom apartment, but you can do a lot better for the price if you want a two bedroom apartment. Pricey neighborhood. Safe.

Everyone was super helpful and friendly from the start to finish. Only qualm is the weird layout of the bedroom because it's a corner unit, but other than that the apartment is beautiful.

My fiancé and I have lived here for 10 months and just renewed for another 12. We originally chose this complex for the location, but we renewed for the price, quality, and staff. We live in a 1-bedroom apt and thoroughly enjoy the open floor plan and unit location. We rarely hear others - whether it be neighbors or people at the dog park (we live in a unit facing the back of the building). We’ve never had major issues with appliances, and if we DO have an issue, maintenance is dedicated to ensuring we have everything we need & that everything “fixed” is done correctly and to our standards. Any time we’ve had questions, the office staff has been available and super helpful. We’ve never had issues with mail or receiving packages. Choosing to live here would be one of the best decisions you could make. Everyone is friendly, the entire complex is welcoming and feels like home, and the price for the location beats so many other complexes. Thanks for giving us such a happy home, Emerson!!!

Good location. Good amenities. Needs some improvements but does not affect the quality of living. The entrances are locked at all times so you have to use a key fob. They have an app to unlock your front door but it is only for front door, all other doors are manual key fob. They should add all doors to the app.

Recently I have been pleased with my overall experience here. The community has been well-maintained and there has been minimal noise and disruption to the quality of living here. Staff has done an excellent job communicating with residents about events, apartment inspections, fire alarms, etc. The only thing I feel could make the experience better is for the recycling bins to be returned.

Great amenities, very nice staff, beautiful layouts! I love that there's so many rooms to go to when you want a change of scenery. Would love if they could invest in security cameras. Have been more instances of theft and burglary than I would like.

Moving in was super easy. Everyone at the front desk was helpful. Darnell was also great and responsive. The area is also super convenient to everything.
Love it here everyone and the staff is friendly very nice amenities and in a great location! Also the coffee shop downstairs is a banger and great restaurants all around

The neighborhood is excellent, and the complex is very quiet - 5 stars here. The amenities are top notch and very nice, but constantly under repair for weeks or months at a time, with little to no accountability or answers from a generally unresponsive and apathetic staff. For example, the pool and gate to the parking garage are currently or were under repair for seemingly weeks to months on end. However, daily maintenance requests are handled quickly and professionally by the excellent maintenance staff. My unit is very nice, with new appliances, nice kitchen and bathroom finish out and countertops - no issues there. I would certainly give a higher rating, if there weren’t the constant, prolonged issues with the aforementioned larger repairs.

Overall it’s a fine place to live. The changed to a package delivery service which is inconvenient, and they’ve lost my package several times. Leasing office is nice.
Since this complex was taken over by Bell Partners things have gone drastically down hill. Construction quality is poor, numerous fire alarm issues, no working gate in deck, complex entered my apartment without notice while I was in the shower and staff did not care. Property is also not maintained at all. For this price RUN not worth it even though location is great.

I normally don't write reviews unless something was really awful , but this was the exact opposite. First of all the property and decor are fabulous but even more impressive are their staff. Camille and her team went above and beyond to make sure my move in was seamless. Right down to every detail with professionalism and true caring. This was such a great experience . I look forward to living here knowing that I have such professional people to take care of things. And to develop a friendship with. Highly recommend checking this place out. W Hollingsworth

Since Belle Partners has taken over the whole community appearance and overall feel has sadly went downhill. They seem to all hate their jobs and rude on the phone and look at you as if you are a bother when walking into the office. Way to many apartments around at the same cost. Take my advise and look elsewhere.

When I first move here Novel managed the apt. The staff was amazing the grounds, halls and amenities were always in tip top shape. I loved the location and it was a win win. Then it was sold to Bell Partners. I signed a second lease not knowing how big a difference the management company makes in a property. It went downhill Fast! Now we have to pay to not have our packages delivered to our address. It's some 3rd party company that I have to remember the address, and if it's time sensitive... good luck. Previous responses to reviews say the garage gate is now fixed ?! Nope. It is most certainly not fixed. But, they can spend the money to have the concrete you drive on pressure washed? They changed the trash service and half the time they don't show up to pick it up. Trash is all up and down the hallways because if they don't show up to pick it up and you put another bag out the next day, then they say they can't get it because you have too much trash out. It's amazing. We all looked outside one day and the pool was Green. There are false fire drills at all hours, doors from the garage to the building don't work with the key fobs, so you have to walk up and down the garage (which has no security gate) to find a door your fob will open. Don't Do it! There are plenty of other properties around here. I can't wait to get out.

A lot of ownership and property management turnover. However, the current ownership and management team are the best so far. The amenities are nice, but some of them don’t seem to work consistently, if at all.

Safety concerns, blaring fire alarms, forced package delivery service, and parking issues. Run away from this complex, new management is cutting every corner possible while raising rents. To be called luxury is a joke.

Moved here in December and loved it until recently the management switched.. just received an email that the apartment complex will no longer be letting us have UPS/Fedex packages (Amazon/etc) deliver to the complex, and must use a third party service called "Fetch" to have our packages mailed to. Therefor, packages will be late and potentially stolen from doorstep due to no cameras in hallways. Not sure legally how you can tell a paying tenant they cannot have their mail sent directly to them... After reading reviews on this service, it seems that we will be charged for this. Super upsetting and makes me uncomfortable, seeing at Fetch has extremely poor customer service rating and doesn't offer replacements on lost packages. Additionally, new management sent out an email asking people to give 5 star reviews in exchange for a free beer at the bar across the street... I really enjoyed it here and this sadly will prevent me from resigning.

I moved here in August and I cannot rave enough about the Emerson Montford (previously Novel Montford). It is a brand new complex with fabulous, modern interior decorating and wonderful pool and gym facilities. It is secure, clean, and probably the quietest apartment complex I have ever lived in. They put on different events each month for the tenants such as live music, candle making classes, movie screenings, etc. The Emerson is located in a nice, safe Charlotte neighborhood where you are surrounded by plenty of things to do. You are walking distance from the bars and restaurants on Montford Drive and just around the corner from Park Road Shopping Center and Selwyn Avenue which pretty much have anything you would need. You are also only about a 5 minute drive to SouthPark Mall and Freedom Park as well as a 10-15 minute drive from South End, Uptown, and the airport. Not to mention, the staff is so friendly and always so prompt at helping you with anything you may need. If you are in search of an upscale apartment complex in Charlotte, then Emerson Montford is your answer!

I moved into Novel Montford Park in November of last year. It is a beautiful, almost brand-new apartment building perfectly situated off Park Road within walking distance of two of my favorite places (Moosehead Grill, and Lucky Lou's, both dive bars) and only 20 minutes from my office in the most boring part of Charlotte (Ballantyne). The facility has one of the most beautiful common areas I have seen, a convenient dog park if you are a pet owner, an amazing and fun pool and seemingly incredibly friendly people if you reach out to them but more importantly... the staff is absolutely amazing. Like... All of them are. I wish I could remember their names. I can only think of Shelby and Sam for some reason but I am just awful remembering their actual names. I have been at other apartment complexes where for some reason, the staff took on their shoulders the idea of policing their residents wat their #1 job creating an us/against them type of environment. Especially during COVID. The staff here is NOT Petty. And the joy they spread is contagious. I hope it continues. They are incredibly friendly, helpful, informative and if they don't know an answer they are quick to find the answer and get right back to me. I have lived in apartments ever since my divorce for 10 years and will probably finally buy a house next year as I am finally going to get remarried, but until then, this is where I want to be. Thanks to the staff! I hope their bosses see this post. 5 Stars!

Having been one of the first residents at Novel Montford Park, it has been so encouraging to see the high standards continue beyond just the initial opening. Everyone is so friendly, Jared, Falon and the leasing office team can not do enough to help you, they are easy and quick to communicate with and the maintenance team are so responsive and will take care of any issue. The building is maintained to a spotless standard and is always kept clean which is an underrated perk of an apartment complex. April and Reid organise some great community events, and the additional little surprise touches from the team here and there mean a lot. All of these things contribute to make living here so great!

Novel Montford Park is located within 10 minutes of major (Downtown, Atrium CMC, Novant Presby, the Airport, South Park, South End, etc,), has a ton of amazing amenities, and amazing staff. Jared in the leasing office was a great resource during our decision process and has continued to be extremely helpful seven months into our residence. In the midst of COVID, April and Reid have been a constant light for residents. They continuously check-in to ensure the living experience is going well, organize creative and fun events, and find ways to safely drop off treats. This is easily our favorite complex that we've lived in and highly recommend it.
