Minor, also known as Squire Park, is home to Seattle University, which sits along the western border. Only about one mile directly east of Downtown Seattle, this popular neighborhood is nestled between Seattle's International and Central Districts. Named for Seattle Mayor T.T. Minor who founded the Seattle Railway, this neighborhood has a rich history.
Like most downtown neighborhoods, Minor is densely populated, but there are several small parks, plenty of trees, wide sidewalks, and historic architecture that make Minor one of Seattle's most dynamic and attractive communities. This is a friendly community that provides a variety of housing, from charming bungalows to large apartment buildings. In addition to the university, Minor is home to the Swedish Medical Center's Cherry Hill campus.
Apartments in Minor place you close to downtown, Seattle University, and the medical center.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at East Vista
The building sits on a dead end of a mostly quiet street in Capitol Hill. Walking distance to several grocery stores, bars, cafes, and restaurants. Not much street noise can be heard in the building, but other buildings are pretty close so you may hear your neighbors on occasion. I'm sharing the two bed and two bath unit on the first floor and there is plenty of space for two. Large living/dining room with a tiny (mostly useless) balcony and an open kitchen with bar for seating. One of the bathrooms is behind the kitchen, and the washer and dryer are in the closet there as well. Down the hall are the two bedrooms (one with another tiny balcony) as well as the other bathroom. There is also a strange open room (or fat hallway if you prefer) with room for a couch/chair/tv/extra storage. We use it as a makeshift guest room. Overall the building is well maintained and pretty affordable considering the neighborhood. There is lots of new construction all around, so the neighborhood is changing.
