As its name implies, Medical Center South is located directly south of the Texas Medical Center, which is home to Houston’s major healthcare facilities and medical schools. The neighborhood is also locally known as the Astrodome since the Houston Astrodome dominated the neighborhood. Great staff and the apartments are just as advertised!
I moved in last month, and Tanya did an amazing job getting us moved in quickly and efficiently with no headaches. She even waived our move-in fees and worked closely with us to address any of our questions/concerns. The apartment itself is beautiful (just as advertised), and the building is well maintained with a friendly and efficient staff. If there is any sort of problem, they seem to always fix it or clean it right away.

Excellent customer service and beautiful complex!
This was the last community we looked at during our apartment hunt and the community, amenities, and the unit we looked at we absolutely loved! That plus the amazing customer service provided to us by Tanya is really what sold us to make that decision. She showed us the entire community and the beautiful amenities, provided us with great details and answered all of our questions. Processing our application was a breeze and took less than a week. She even worked with us with no complaints when we decided to change to a bigger unit from the one we originally wanted! This was the easiest move we've ever made so thank you for that, Tanya!

Terrible Customer service (Domain at Kirby)
This apartment complex (Domain at Kirby) is full of issues so don’t waste your time renting with them. I have placed multiple work order to fix issues of a period of 6 months to fix water leaks resulting in $250+ a month water bills and the response is that there is nothing they can do. There had been multiple insect issues and nothing is done. Please steer clear of this place.

Best Apartment Complex!

Amazing Property
I moved to the property the end of 2022 and it has been nothing short of a beautiful dream. The property is always clean and stays in pristine condition. There are always gatherings hosted by management that gives the residents a sense of community and family. The agents in the office are always so friendly and more than willing to help especially Tanya and Char.

Amazing Improvements!
There are a lot of changes at Domain at Kirby! I am seeing a lot of lights fixed, a lot of powerwashing and paints done. Management team is extremely nice and even went back to hosting resident events. They have installed a lot of cameras and still have a security in the garage.This feels like home and and I am loving all the improvements!

Amazing property 5 minutes from Medical Center
My grandmother was staying in one of the furnished apartments through a corporate housing company for about 7 months while going through treatments at the Medical Center. Excellent location, spacious apartment filled with everything you might need.Property is very well maintained, maintenance was great.They have security in the garage and amenities are beautiful.I highly recommend.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
This so called luxury apartments is loaded with criminal activity, multiple cars being broken into on a nightly basis and no attention from the management. They allow Airbnb so strangers come and go and trash the whole place. The hallways are filthy with garbage bags, people not following the rules. This place is not worth your money. DO NOT MOVE HERE
This place is disgusting. Do not move here. I have lived here two weeks and there has been roaches in my apartment everyday. There has been two treatments and there remain roaches everywhere. I have reached out to management and have not received a response. After reaching out they addressed a complex wide pest concern. Still yet to hear from them personally. Terrible service.

Quality Luxury Apartment/Worth Your Rent
I have been a tenant for a month and although the upkeep of the property needs a little bit of sprucing up, the customer service of the management team is superb! Maintenance mgr (I think his name is Edgar) is responsive. Kristina, Chard and Monique are all excellent communicators. I feel very safe in the property. I would stay for years in this property.

STAY AWAY
Horrible apartment complex to live in. Just moved out of the complex and finally have the freedom and cleanliness any normal human needs. Trash stains all over the floor and never once walked into the halls smelling clean. Prices skyrocket the second time you sign. Left the apartment and they have the audacity to charge me $140 for a kitchen malodor and $500 for leaving the apartment? They find ways to not only keep your deposit but charge you for ridiculous items to take one last stab at you. The whole complex smells like garbage from the "Valet trash service" used in this complex. People leave bags of trash in the hallways that leak and SEEP into the carpet causing you to hold your breath as you walk to your apartment. There are better apartment complexes if you look around, and for close to the same price. Do not live here. Gym equipment was always broken, never have I once went into the gym with all machines functioning normally. Ive lived here for over 2 years and I hope anyone who reads this review takes caution when considering this place as your next home.

First, I would like to say that above all things we at the Domain at Kirby make our resident’s happiness one of our top priorities, and we are saddened to hear that you were less than satisfied with your experience here with us. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us because they allow us to learn and improve. Having said that, it is important to note that within your lease contract it is stipulated that when moving out, your apartment home must be left in the original condition that it was in at move-in. Since I am not certain as to who posted the above review, I cannot speak directly to what those charges may be. Now, should you wish to discuss those charges, please feel free to call me at the office. At Domain at Kirby we do have a Valet Trash service for our resident’s ease and convenience. Community rules not only stipulate the specific hours of service but also that the designated receptacle be used. We do our best to police the process but occasionally items will slip through the cracks and for this, we do apologize. However, I guarantee you that my community does not smell of “garbage”. Regarding the fitness center, we do apologize for the inconvenience. We understand that our fitness center does play a role in our resident’s daily routine and not having the fitness center at 100% does affect their lives. We are scheduled, very soon in fact, to receive an entirely new suite of fitness equipment and we do appreciate our residents’ patience through the process of updating the fitness center. Poor management/equiptment
Lived here for over 2 years and seen it steadily decline in the last year. The fitness equipment is always broken. Maintenance takes a while to come fix items (shower, disposal, ant problems, etc). The management has been saying they would fix the tredmils for the last 6 months and they have been down to one for the last month or so with no repair. The key fob locks to get into the building from the garage are broken about 50% of the time. Great location but not worth the rent and accomodations. They must not trust their tenents because they lock the bathrooms next to the gym after office hours.

STAY AWAY!!!
If I can leave 0 stars, I would. We lived in this apartment complex for 5 years and were happy with the original management. They were willing to work with the tenants to make them happy. We painted our walls ( 2 sides ) to different color because our daughter likes certain colors. We lived in 3 different floors during our stay and there was not a single charge when we moved to different floors. They offered to paint our walls, there was no charge to paint the walls back to the original color. They made our move(s) as easy as it could be. However, when it was time to move out (with the new management ), the service was not what we expected. They charge you for EVERYTHING. They are charging $550 for the re-painting the TWO walls and clean two small rooms. It's not even a whole room!!!! When I called to dispute, they say, this is "prorated/discounted" price. Before, it was almost $800!!! And this was "FINAL" bill. They are not willing to work with you at all. They really don't care about tenants. They only want the $$$$$$. I hate to leave a negative review, but this place has to change. Until they do... STAY AWAY!!!

Unsafe and Over-Priced
Pro: The interior of my apartment is updated and nice Cons: Homeless people routinely enter the building. There are no security cameras on sight! The security I was promised is non-existent. If you call for an officer you have to sit through a phone tree and leave a message, while vagrants smash open car windows in the "secure" garage. I have seen shopping carts in the hallways! When it rains the common areas leak. The office staff are always incredibly rude and unhelpful. The only verbiage they know is "not our liability". The staff refuse to sign for packages/deliveries even though residents are forced to sign a waiver. Want to send someone flowers? Forget about it because they will refuse the carrier! You have to go to the office during inconvenient standard business hours when you're at work anyhow to pick up your package. I will not be renewing my lease and judging from the number of vacant units, I suspect my neighbors aren't either.

We strive for customer satisfaction and thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. In regards to security, we as any other business, cannot offer or ensure security as it is the sole responsibility of the resident. We do however, have an on-site courtesy officer whom is available 24/7. In the event of an emergency or should you find yourself in immediate danger, it is suggested that you call 911 or the proper authorities as you would if you were in any other store, business, location, etc. We've not received any reports regarding vandalism in the garage. We accept packages in the office as a courtesy to all residents. In addition, we are conveniently open 7 days a week for package pick-up. The building is remote access only. When a carrier is attempting to make a delivery, they do not have access to the building or a residents door. We accept all deliveries in addition to packages in the Leasing Office. Consider yourself warned
While a resident there, my car was vandalized and property stolen, despite having 24 hour security cameras and a guard on duty during the late evening/early morning hours. Afterwards I found out these cameras were for show only, and they don't actually record any video footage. Therefore, provide a false sense of security, however a feature they charge you for. There was never any reconciliation or apology or improved security as a result of my car break-in. In fact, my car was 1 of 9 cars vandalized that same night. And instead of making security upgrades to protect their residents, they change out the carpet and hold weekend brunches to distract you from the fact they couldn't care less about your security. Also my window leaked (and given how much it rains in Houston, that's a lot) so severe that mold started growing on the inside. It took them 2 months to actually do something about it, despite the fact I had to live with mold in my bedroom during that time. The manager and assistant manager are both incompetent and are of no help. I was a resident there for over two years and things only went from bad to worse; never improved. The helpful staff in the office all ended up leaving; likely due to the downward spiral of management. I wish I had read a review like this before moving there.

Grateful
I lived here for 15 months, I love this place and don't want to leave, but my lease is now up, it's a beautiful building inside and out with all of the amenities you can ask for. I am close to restaurants, stores, metro bus lines, light rail, and medical facilities. This is such a great area to live in there are bike trails, dog parks, etc. The staff and maintenance are great!!. I am grateful to live in such a luxury place. I will miss everyone and the place I reside in. Thanks for the opportunity to lease here. Catherine G., Houston, TX

Nice, upscale, but can be a bit confusing
The Domain is a very nice apartment complex, with nice common areas like the clubhouse and pool. The apartments have updated, modern appliances and hardwood flooring. My only complaint is that, depending on where your apartment is located, it can take awhile to walk to your front door. The hallways are long and the main floor is technically the third floor. If you are new to the apartment, just keep this in mind when you're moving in. Other than that, it's definitely a good choice and conveniently located to restaurants and shopping.

Great place
Quick walk to the metrorail and NRG stadium as well as various fast food places and grocery stores nearby. High ceilings, large rooms, closets are huge. Great amenities. Occasional cockroach issues.
