The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Deering Manor
I lived in Deering manor for little under a year and I absolutely hate it. The hallway always smells like pee due to whatever my neighbors have going on. The walls are extremely thin, there is absolutely no privacy. The building is run down, the maintenance of the complex as a whole is horrible. Its a terrible area with loud and rude people. To top it all off I can never find a decent parking space in front of my home. It is the most ridiculous thing ever. For me to have to park down the street from my house is completely unacceptable. Everyone should have at least one assigned parking spot in front of or at least close to their building but they don't. Visitors crowd the parking lot and it's just overall terrible. I wouldn't recommend anyone live here unless you are single and desperate.
My apartment is nice n cozy spacious kitchen and living room. It is located near downtown Richmond n various other stores and schools. It has pool area for the residents. Has a very understanding staff that works in the rental office and a maintenance crew that be on call when ever there is a problem.
I have lived here at Deering Manor for quite a while and find it to be a wonderful place to live. The community is a quiet one and I haven't seen any drama going on. No guys hanging on the outside except for children who play and ride their bikes in the evening but during the day when kids are out to school you can almost hear a pin drop except for the trains that go by in the distance now and then. There are several buildings in the community and most buildings has two apartments downstairs and two upstairs. The amenities are basic yet modest. Alot of units were just renovated so they are pretty decent with the newer ones having granite counter tops. Some apartments has dishwashers, others don't. You can rent a stacked washer/dryer from the office or you can have your own. Office staff is friendly especially Ms. Lawrence(manager) and maintenance comes in a timely manner. Utilities are gas and electric but water is included and you will need renter's insurance which is less than $15 monthly. We have the option to pay our rent online. The units are a little on the smaller side but comfortable. You may have carpet or wooden floors and there are screen and blinds at every window. All in all it's a nice place, very tranquil surrounding and we the residents have access to on property laundry all year round and a big pool in the summer months. I am glad that I made the decision to be here. Nobody bother me and I don't bother them. Building 3901 Resident
