Nestled in northeast Connecticut, Putnam is a small, forested town on the Rhode Island state line. Although Putnam is mainly residential with large expanses of dense woodlands, there is a sense of small-town charm in Putnam you’ll be sure to enjoy. Putnam Town Hall, the Boxcar Museum, and Rotary Park are just a few of the unique, historic attractions this town has to offer. The Quinebaug River runs directly through town, so the stately homes and small businesses on either side of the river in downtown can enjoy waterfront views. The city’s downtown district is lined with local restaurants and shops such as 85 Main, the Stomping Ground, Elizabeth’s Farmhouse, and the Courthouse Bar and Grille. Historic lofts, charming single-family homes, and longstanding apartments can be found in the city of Putnam.

Property Ratings at Dana Court Apartments
Don’t rent here! I’ve rented through Dana court apartments for almost two years and my experience has been dreadful. I have been compliant with my lease, while management has not. I submitted my 30-day notice to leave and management has not honored it, requesting that I leave within a 20-Day period. The law requires there to be two accessible entrances/exits in the event of an emergency, and in the winter months only one side had been shoveled/plowed making one of the entrances non-accessible. There are most definitely residents that are favored more than others: in the almost two years I’ve lived here there is one neighbor in particular that has had 5-8 people coming in and out of the apartment on a regular basis, when the maximum occupancy for a two bedroom is FOUR INDIVIDUALS. These people have been distributive, coming home at 2 and 3AM blaring music from their car, fighting with vulgar language waking up myself and my young child. This has been tolerated the entire time I’ve been here! Another neighbor has smoked marijuana in their apartment, and the odor has leaked into my apartment. (According to our lease ANY substance use including the smoking of cigarettes is PROHIBITED!) When complaints where made to management nothing was done. The property manger is very uptight, and has an entitled attitude. She has been very rude, unreasonable, and very difficult to work with. I would not recommend this location to anyone! Save yourself the additional stress and don’t rent here!!
