The Greater Heights area of Houston comprises a large, mostly- residential neighborhood just minutes northwest of Downtown. The upscale homes and close proximity to the city center (plus easy access to three major interstate highways) make this a highly desirable location for commuters seeking the tranquility of the suburbs without sacrificing convenience.
Scores of historic houses date back to the area’s heyday as a popular vacation getaway for Houston’s elite in the 19th century, and today they contribute to the area’s timeless atmosphere. The diverse local dining and entertainment scenes cater to the varied tastes of the residents, and the popular cafes and shops along 19th Street give the feel of a much smaller town than a community at the heart of the 4th biggest city in America.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at City Park in the Heights
I have enjoyed living here at City Park so far. It has been mostly quiet although I am away from home 12 hours a day. I wish the third floor apartments had carpet because it can be loud at times if you're not use to living beneath someone.

I have lived here for 8 years and by and large it has been a positive experience. There have been some glitches with my air conditioner, but it was a bad summer and I wasn’t the only one who had problems.

Start with getting the upkeep and appearance better and fix the security gates. We pay for safety and cleanliness but not worth it
This is my 7th year living at this complex. The amenities and the staff just keep getting better. I had and an old dog and would sometime have to walk him at 3:00 a.m., and it would feel just as safe as if I was walking him during the day. The complex is well lit and I have never had any problems. And I frequently had to walk my elderly dog in the early morning hours.
Without problems, the experience is great. When problems arise, it seems to be a marathon amount of effort to accomplish simple tasks. Staff needs to be reminded every single visit of any concerns - they do not bother to remember any details even within 24 hours, and it is obvious that they are lying to my face when they ask for details because "the system doesn't have it on-file."

I've been here for almost 3 weeks and so far I love it here! The pool and landscape is beautiful, the staff has been friendly, open and efficient and the location is optimal with major access roads but also quiet and easy access to eateries in the Heights. The floor plan options are nice and the new renovations are beautiful. Overall it's quiet and peaceful here.

I’ve lived here over 10 years and love it. The location is great and the property is well maintained. Very neighborly, a lot of us know most of our neighbors and it’s great because we look out for each other.

The community is great but the management is poor. They do not have good communication and if you want answers or help you practically have to harass them to get anything done.

I have lived here for 6 years and have found that my needs have always been taken care of in a timely manner. Plus I can walk my dog at any time in the evening or early morning hours inside the complex without fear of being hassled or worse by some stranger. That gives me a lot of peace of mind.

You're the best! We really appreciate the positive review. We're glad you've chosen to call City Park in the Heights your home for 6 years and counting. Thank again for the awesome feedback! Hope you have a great day.
The apartments are ok, good location, fairly clean. Dumpsters are always a mess. Upon move out they charged me over $700, including: -75$ for appliance cleaning, which had normal use wear but overall pretty clean. -$100 for a closet door off its hinges, but not damaged. -$550 for a closet door with damaged mirror. I don't mind paying for the mirror, but $550 is ridiculous. Overall its an ok place. Be careful with move out. They will charge you and threaten collections.
Property Manager at City Park in the Heights, Responded To This Review
Hi Brian, we are sad to see you have changed your 5-star rating to a 1 star after your move-out. We do our best to accommodate every situation according to our lease agreement terms. Charges that were applied to your account were correctly added. During our inspection, we noticed the beautiful glass sliding closet door was broken and unrepairable as well as the bi-fold doors. Our refrigerators have an ice making machine, so definitely do not charge for ice left in the freezer. We provided everything you requested to show the damages in the unit and the cost to repair the items. We also offer our residents pre-walks if requested. We feel the loss of your residency and wish you the best in your endeavors. We are here if you may every change your mind and wish to call us home again. City Park Team.
I have been living at City Park for 2 years now and I absolutely love it. Halima is a big reason I have decided to stay, she has been making improvements across the entire complex. The City Park community is peaceful, close to a variety of bars and restaurants, and for those of you who like to bike or run, the apartments are right next to the Whiteoak Bayou Trail. No matter what issue I have come across, Halima and the crew address them quickly and efficiently. Thank you Halima and the City Park employees!
Staff has been great, keep up the good work Halima, Shae and Crew! Grounds and property is well maintained, leasing staff and maintenance on site are courteous and helpful. Requests sometimes take longer than I would like them but overall, this is a great place to call home!.
Been a resident for 3 years, but moved out of the Heights recently... Would definitely re-apply and do it all over again with City Park! Property is beautifully maintained, sits right next to white oak bayou with easy access to 610 and I-10. I was able to achieve the “private and quiet” life despite being walking distance to bars and food spots. Requests for maintenance were easy with effective repairs! Hospitality is awesome -from staff to residents. Shout out to the wonderful office staff!! Shay, Kat and Halima! You ladies rock. Keep shining City Park. -Lou

Thank you for your review and thank you for calling City Park home!
These apartments have some of the best people (staff and residents) who truly make you feel right at home. I feel safe and the apartment had everything I was truly looking for! I look forward to calling this place home for a long time to come! Shae and Kat are the best!
I’ve lived here for over 2 years and the second I started REALLY loving it was when the new management team took over. Not only is the location perfect and most of the apartments are remodeled, Kat and Shea’s personalities and work ethic makes everything at City Park what it is. I highly recommend this complex. It’s home.

We're so glad to hear that! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review!
If you're looking for apartments I'd highly recommend here. Pros: - Extremely friendly and responsive staff. The heater went down during the cold weathers and the technicians worked WAY overtime to get it going. - Great environment, inside and outside. I NEVER saw one single cockroach in my apartment, which is a pretty hard thing to achieve here in the South. And there are absolutely NO parties after 10 p.m.. - Safe neighborhood. Very safe at night, lots of people jogging and walking their dogs. - Convenient to the essentials. 10-minute drive to Walmart, Target, Kroger, HEB, pharmacies, ..., you name it. Cons: - Although most of the appliances are relatively new, some of them (like the heater I mentioned) are somehow old and might dysfunction occassionally. But don't worry, their great maintenance team will be there until problems are solved even if the office is closed and they are hungry.
I moved in about three weeks ago. I am very pleased with my apartment (minor scales upon moving in). Overall it is a great location. It has been very quiet and not to mention the location is excellent to get to a destination from any direction. Very happy with my choice.
I moved here 4 months ago and I really like it. Honestly is your best option around. (Excellent condotion, location, green areas, atmosphere and the staff) Really big spaces for what you pay for and you have your oun PARKING SPOT with no charge!!!
I just made my move from Massachusetts to Texas for a job. I'm not too familar with the area but apparently The Heights is a pretty cool place to live. From what I've seen so far I can agree. My apartment has a great location and is close to everything you could possibly need! As for the apartment it's self, I love it! It felt cozy and like home very quickly. There is alot of storage too which is a huge help and rare in alot of apartments. I have a little pup who moved with me and he's enjoying meeting other dogs in the community on our daily walks! Also the pool is AMAZING! The gym could use a little more equipment, it's missing some of the basics. However the staff is very nice and they address any concerns immediately! I strongly recommend this appartmemt complex to residents looking for a new home and maybe I'll meet you BBQing by the pool! :)
