Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Farmers Branch combines residential comfort with easy access to city amenities. The city's extensive parks and green spaces have earned it the nickname "The City in a Park." With approximately 36,000 residents, Farmers Branch offers various rental options, from studios averaging $1,359 monthly to three-bedroom homes at $2,434. The DART light rail station area and the historic district near the original settlement feature established residential communities, while providing convenient access to downtown Dallas.
Farmers Branch traces its roots to the 1850s, when settlers Thomas Keenan, Isaac B. Webb, and William Cochran established the community. Originally called Mustang Branch, the name later changed to reflect the area's farming heritage. Today, the city serves as headquarters for more than 3,500 businesses, including Celanese Corporation and OxyChem.

Property Ratings at Chateau De Ville
This place is a joke! The management has no business running this complex. Where to start... Mold problems, trash left in hall was that reek of garbage. Cars stolen while living here and multiple break ins. Damage to you car from the leak in the garage. Dog poop covering the place, not to mention dog that bark ALL DAY even after putting in a complaint. Not to mention the FBI raided an apt full of drugs and they allowed the person to continue living there. Worst thing is when you try to explain this to them and how its an issue, they remind you that your safety is not a concern on their property. Then when you put in that move out notice and they lock you account you get charged with a late fee and a had full of other fees, even though you pre paid!? What about my credit?: That was looked over and there's not much we will do about it but pass you to a AR company with little to know information on my account information. Save yourself the headache.
This place is absolutely terrible. From insects, to thieves, breaks ins, etc. the building is unsafe, elevators do not work. The leasing agents and management is useless and don’t care. They clearly hate their jobs and are very nonchalant about everything. Mostly because they don’t live there. It’s dirty, there’s dog poop everywhere. I’ve been stuck in the elevator. My neighbors car got broken into in the garage. According to the police, it happens a lot there, yet the leasing office lied and said it was a rare occurrence.they will charge you for random things when moving out, so please be careful. I prayed everyday for my lease to end. So thankful to be free from This hellhole.
I just moved into this apartment yesterday and am already ready to get out of here! I had to spend my first night here in a hotel! 1. The locks on the front door do not work. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE HERE! 2. They decided to paint the day I moved in. So I was getting severe headaches from the paint they used. Was also told I could not use my only shower for two days! 3. The apartment was not cleaned! I used one Clorox wipe on a counter and it turned gray and black from all the filth. There is other people’s hair throughout the apartment. THERE IS ALSO DRIED PEE ON THE TOILET! 4. The assigned parking situation is a joke. The spots are tiny! 5. The stairwells have insane rust stains all over the walls. It straight up looks like something out of a horror film.
Elevators stay broke and dog poo in garage as well as down halls. Office workers rude and nasty especially when call to do repairs. Bad, Bad parking. I can't say the word enough. Will figure out a way to keep deposit. One example when I moved they charged me for damage to ceiling when it was obvious that the leakage had come from upstair Also, charged me for wear and tear to apartment such as paint that is peeling off the walls. I reported this to local Better Business Bureau who sent out several letters and they refused to respond. Rent, just to expense for the living enviroment.
Apartments are nice, hallways need updating, appliances need upgrading, maintenance is slow to react and work is mediocre.
Lacking staff, maintenance is poor, common areas are dated . Location is great, apartment is quiet and unit is nice.
Great location, covered parking garage and gated entry.
I'm a current tenant and have been living here for about two years. I will list pros and cons: Pros: Large open floor plans Granite counter tops(kitchen and bath) Beautiful floors and cabinets. Large pools Nice, normal neighbors (for the most part). Lots of warm older couples and chatty, friendly individuals. Not a lot of unexpected noise for an apartment community. Be realistic people... this isn't a private home. -Cute fireplaces - great for pets - underground parking is a +++ for weather concerns (not so great when it comes to maneuverability... but eh) Cons: Horrible management. I cannot express this point enough. As a business professional with years of service experience I am floored at the lack of professionalism amongst the staff. All the women are rude, unprofessional, degrading, and have appalling people skills. Examples for clarity: - they do not return messages/phone calls - act visibly annoyed (body language, facial expression, sighing, eye rolling) when asked to complete a task such as placing a work order. - unprofessional work attire - consistently demonstrate a lazy attitude - disrespectful tones, demeanor and conversational skills - I repeatedly get "I dunno" as a response to my questions regarding elevator breakdowns and building upkeep... with no further attempts to obtain the correct answers. - You can't take matters to a higher management level either, the manager here is by far the rudest and poorly qualified of all the women. - You also cannot seem to find any contact information on Management Support Properties either. And when I asked for the information I was denied. This seems like a red flag to me when I can't establish a trust in management hierarchy. - Frankly the staff doesn't care about it's clients because they know they will have no one to answer to for complaints. Maintenance issues: -easy fixes are completed quickly and efficiently. -however anything complex or considered a difficult(costly) repair is handled poorly, slowly(if at all) and in the cheapest way possible. (i.e. mold covered by paint, leaky pipes repaired with tape vs being replaced, etc) Basically if it can't be handled with paint and duct tape your problem will most likely not be addressed unless you severely press the issue. Deposits: -don't plan on getting ANYTHING back that they say is refundable. They nickle and dime every little thing in "move out repairs" to make sure it EXACTLY totals your refundable deposit. Why do I still live here? 1) Because the management is so disorganized, rude and incoherent that, as a resident, you get a lot of leniency and forgiveness if you know how to ask for it. I've side stepped numerous fees and rules by knowing which strings to pull. Laziness does have its perks. :) 2) The good does outweigh the bad. Its a great floor plan/sq. footage for the price. I would be paying double for this anywhere closer to downtown/shops of legacy/austin ranch. But those places also have fantastic management so.... lol. You get what you pay for. 3) Neighbors are unified in the dislike for management, so we always have something to giggle about in the elevator. 4) Great pet community. Very receptive and good for training. 5) It's close to work and again for the price.... I couldn't afford to live this close and it still be this decent. I truly believe this is how this place continues to thrive. Despite it's failings they keep the rent just low enough and the upkeep just high enough that you cant really justify living elsewhere. Though, if I could afford the outrageous Dallas apartment costs.... I would leave here in a heartbeat. All in all.....Chateau is a good middle ground for your cost effective renter who still expects to live a few steps above ghetto. But if you have the money or don't mind something smaller for a higher dollar.... just go with Post properties or UDR. They are pretty well respected in the area.
The property itself is actually pretty nice with decent amenities. We had a huge floor plan with a nice view and the price wasn't too bad... but the happy times stop there. Most of the neighbors were respectful but there were a few that played loud music into the courtyard or just made us really uncomfortable. ANY time we needed to go to management it was a big pain. Neither unit we moved into had the maintenance finished from the damage the previous tenants caused. The management staff does not return calls, they make you wait forever unecessarily, have no people skills, and frankly, have a terrible attitude. I will not rent from another Management Support property.
I've been living here for approx 2 years and am not the type to go to management for anything. When I have recently, they have not been good experiences. They seem to be lacking people skills and professionalism which I don't think is much to ask for when I am paying monthly (always on time), and feel as a tenant I have a right to go in for whatever reason. I get left waiting without even being acknowledged and/or told someone will be with me, they've ignored me to assist a person who came in after me, when I have called I've been told the lobby is full & they'd have to call me back even when it was a simple inquiry, calls have NEVER been returned to me.... I can't wait for my lease to be up because I will be leaving. I don't think they'd care to lose such a loyal tenant as they seem to be more concerned about just getting units rented out. I plan to escalate what I have experienced to the management company and whatever tenant rights groups I find as I do not understand how this can be acceptable.
HUGE floor plans with HUGE spaces. The walk in master closet is bigger than any house or apt we've lived in. So is the laundry room. There is built in shelving and storage everywhere. The balcony is a healthy 5' x 15'. Beautiful hardwood floors with stained cabinets and granite tops throughout. Great, nice sized kitchen with cool appliances. Our unit has 2.5 baths. The master has jack and jill sinks and glass enclosed full size garden tub/shower. We have underground parking and take an elevator right to our room. There are trash chutes so no lugging garbage outside. You will not find a better place for the price @ under a dollar a square foot.
