Chartwell

I have to say Donna in the office is just overall amazing. She has been the most helpful patient and understanding even in adverse circumstances. Ms. Stephanie came around after while also ?? . Overall beautiful experience. If I ever decide to move back to the area I would definitely come back. Overall super spacious.

I've been living here at Chartwell apartments now for 3yrs and very pleased with everything. The leasing staff is amazing! Shout out to Donna and Stephanie. Keep up the great work! Also, the maintenance staff is on point with fixing whatever is needed in a very timing manner. Two thumbs up to Chartwell apartments!

I have lived in this family oriented community for over 20 years because the apartments are convenient to restaurants, shopping, interstates and family. I enjoy morning walks around the lake and exercising in the fitness room. The clubhouse, pool and tennis courts are well maintained and the staff is awesome.

Most people think that my apartment is a condo. It has private entrance, patio and a space to grow flowers and or herbs. It also has assigned parking. It is like living in a house without the expense of home ownership. Warm and friendly staff. It is within walking distance to several stores. The schools are among the best. I love living here for the past 7 years.

they are a very family oriented complex, take the time in getting to know all their residents, very quiet area nothing happens in this complex. the only negative is that parking is limited in certain parts of the complex, but you do get 1 parking spot by your apartment door. very big apartments for the price its hard to find anywhere as nice!

The apartment are of age ,but well kept. Security is good and a safe place to live. Rent is not cheap, but you get what you pay for!

I moved into the 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath at Chartwell Apartment in November 2014. It has been an okay stay below you will find my pros and cons. Cons Bugs!! I live near the pond and there were always big water bugs (cockroach) on the walkway and stairs leading to the apartment. Parking. You get one assigned parking and the building I stay in have about 6 free spots for 4 buildings. If you miss out you have to walk far to your apartment. Thin walls. I have lived in a lot of apartments and I know the walls can be thin, but this walls are super thin you can hear your neighbor cough. Pros Great location. Close to the malls and highways Some what quiet. I had loud neighbors who fought at the time, but once they moved, it was really quiet. Maintanence. All my maintenance request were completed either that day or the next. Large kitchen and living room. The second bedroom was much smaller than the master, but the living room and kitchen were huge.

My husband and I moved into Chartwell Apartments in March the leasing ladies Stephanie and Donna are Amazing friendly and very understanding on any situation.The properity is kept very clean and the prices are SUPER reasonable we plan on staying here for the next 4 years maybe even longer i would DEFFINATELY recommend them to my familyand friends they are the best apartments I have lived in by a LONG shot I am extremely pleased!!!!!

The community is so beautiful and the living spaces are open and spacious! The ladies in the office welcomed us and were so down to earth. We can't wait to call Chartwell our home :)

Lived at Chartwell from 2000-2005 and was incredibly happy there! A *LARGE* 2-bedroom for under $1000/month? As someone living in the NYC area, that is a steal in my book! Plenty of closet space, loved that I could afford a 2-bedroom as it allowed for friends and family to have a place to stay while visiting without having to pay for a hotel. Was less than a 15 minute commute to my job in downtown Norfolk. Nice big windows (which the cats I had at the time appreciated!) and lots of natural light came in and I loved that I had a washer/dryer hookup (considered quite a luxury up here in NYC these days...I have a coin-op laundry room in the building I'm in now and hate that I have to pay for laundry to be done!) The only complaint I had with Chartwell was at the time I was living there, there seemed to be an ongoing problem with my hot water heater and the main bathroom shower. The water would be hot for literally only a couple of minutes before going lukewarm to cold (which I'll assume has been corrected since then) There is definitely some advantages to living outside of New York. I absolutely loved my apartment at Chartwell and if given the opportunity to move back to the Va. Beach area, I'd definitely want to live there again!

There are fish in the lake...some big ones! This is a very comfortable place to live. We've been here almost 2 years now, and we are really loving it. The people who manage the apartments really know what they're doing. My son is about to get his own apartment. He's getting one in this complex.
