Nestled at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains, Ogden sits 40 miles north of Salt Lake City, combining outdoor adventure with city living. This former railroad hub features an extensive trail system along its eastern edge, offering residents immediate access to hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. Weber State University contributes to the city's dynamic atmosphere, while the historic 25th Street district showcases local shops, restaurants, and the restored Peery's Egyptian Theatre. Current rental trends show average apartment rates ranging from $929 for studios to $1,966 for four-bedroom units, with most rental categories experiencing slight decreases over the past year, making it more affordable than other Utah cities.
From the tree-lined Jefferson Avenue district to the developments near The Junction, Ogden's neighborhoods each have their own character. The city provides easy access to three ski resorts: Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, and Nordic Valley.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Canyon Crest
The lady I spoke with was extremely short and sounded overly annoyed just by having to finally answer my call after a dozen attempts and a half dozen voicemails. I would look elsewhere for a more professional experience.
Yes it's a older building. If you haven't been here since 2021 you missed out . New owners put alot money updating the whole building and landscaping. New paint ,new B.B.Q., fire pit and outdoor furniture. New mailbox system. Removed the tennis court put in new cement for a basketball 1/2 court to make a nice outdoor lounging area for the new gas grills.New washer and dryers. New remodeled exercise room. Maintaince has been awesome! All cable services is available.Mobile phones work fine here too. Most apartments will have that annoying neighbor maybe .Its worth the price for sure. Pet friendly.Yards are cleaned daily.Snow plowed whenever needed .Office employee are great!
Worst apartment I've ever lived in the apartments themselves are run down they allow smoking on units so if you get a neighbor that smokes your entire apartment will smell like a stake bar because everyone wants to come home to and wake up to that. You will also hear every single step your neighbor takes walls are thin yes this is way cheap but you get what you pay for pay more and go elsewhere living here is miserable.
We stayed here for two months after relocating for a job and while searching for a home. It was terrific. The apartment was very clean, all new appliances and floors. Needed maintenance once and they responded same day. Management was friendly and responds quickly. The laundry room was clean and never had trouble getting open washer/dryer. They even allowed our pooch, all at a reasonable month-month rate. They have a flexible vacating policy, perfect for our situation. We would definitely recommend Canyon Crest to friends.
Rent goes up every time you renew your lease, the pool is always disgusting, the property manager is rarely in the lease office during their posted hours, laundry machines are often broken, cops harass people here all the time, I don’t ever dare walking in the grass because it’s just a field of dog poop at this point, when you call and leave a message to get some maintenance done they don’t call you back or notify you that there going to fix it- they just march into your apartment whenever they feel like it, they never shovel snow off the sidewalks or the parking lot, also beware there is ZERO cell or 4G reception here, but my neighbors have been fine and minded their business.
