My experience has been awesome so far! Everyone on staff is so kind and willing to help you out. Moving in was the easiest move in experience I’ve ever had. My apartment is modern, clean, and luxurious. Also the amenities within the building are extraordinary, I was genuinely in shock when I first saw the gym!
I’ve lived here for a few days and it’s great! Very nice, clean spaces with top amenities. Everyone is super helpful and the concierge is a nice touch. Area around us feels super safe and has a lot to do and going out places. Overall very quiet.

The staff was unhelpful throughout the entire lease signing and move in process. I went in sight unseen and it was very difficult to even receive a video of the unit without having to contact the leasing team multiple times.

I love living here. It’s quiet, beautiful, clean, and everything is friendly and professional. It’s brand new and you can tell they put a lot of effort into the design. My unit was designed so well, with built in storage and cabinets everywhere. I barely need any other furniture which is great. Very pet friendly, great gym, great rooftop (no pool but that doesn’t bother me), and many lounging areas. It also feels VERY safe!

I wish I could recommend this building, but my experience has been incredibly disappointing. Since the start of my lease, the water in my apartment has had a persistent foul/bad/rotten eggish smell—whether it’s the shower, sink, kitchen sink, or laundry machine. I first reported this issue 10 weeks ago, and despite multiple follow-ups, the problem remains unresolved. Management initially told me to run the water for a few hours—didn’t work. Then they said to run it for days—still didn’t work. Not only is this an incredibly wasteful solution, but it also highlights their complete lack of urgency. Responses take days, and I’ve had to follow up multiple times. Even after CC’ing the regional manager, she has never responded to a single email. Someone from the management team came to my apartment, smelled the water, and confirmed there was an odor. I’ve also had multiple friends visit and notice the same issue. Yet, nothing has been done to fix it. They claim the smell is due to the building being “new construction,” but it opened last summer, so that excuse doesn’t hold up. They also told me that as more tenants move in, the smell is “expected,” and if I leave for a few days, I should anticipate the water smelling again when I return. If you want to deal with water that smells, then this is the place for you. If not, stay away at all costs. TBH not worth the hassle.

I discovered Balsa while searching for apartments in the DC area. The entire staff was exceptionally helpful and welcoming, especially Marcus and Rochelle, who assisted me every step of the way to move in on short notice and were always ready to answer any questions.
