My Avana Weymouth experience wasn't good. The building is old, the maintenance was poor. The outside door is always open, there are weird people around the building. After my contract ends, I will not renew or recommend the place.

Be very careful moving in this complex the rules are insane this building is infested with roaches a tenant just moved in and asked me did I have roaches I told her that’s one of those apartments you living in have millions of roaches she said she’s leaving even though she just moved in there

I saw all the negative reviews and still moved here because it was all I could afford as a single renter. I regret it every day. Property does not provide enough dumpsters for the # of tenants who live here so trash is left EVERYWHERE. Buildings are broken into on a weekly basis. Grills were taken away and never replaced. Common areas, including the pool area, absolutely trashed/destroyed. No security cameras despite the astronomical rent we pay. Can’t wait to get out of here.

I just moved here and I can honestly say I absolutely love where I live. The application and leasing process was so easy and straightforward, the staff were all very helpful and made moving in to a new place a pleasant experience for once. My apartment looks exactly like the one I took a self guided tour of, and the community is clean and well maintained. Everyone I’ve come across has been friendly and polite and the surrounding area is nice too, there’s a bus stop right in front and it’s really close to everything (Walmart, grocery stores, Cumberland Farms, liquor store, gym, and the hospital all within a mile) . I’m very happy with my move to Avana and I love my apartment.

Individual apartments are nice, but common areas and facilities within out apartment buildings are outdated, dirty, broken, unsecure, and overall unappealing. Nota bad place to live, but management could do better to maintain common areas and facilities within the apartment buildings.

the trash outside is constantly overflowing. I had put in MANY maintaince requests, and all in the past 2 years have been ignored. The shower nob broke about 4 weeks ago. Still no response. My ceiling in the bedroom had water damage from leaks during heavy rain, which no one EVER helped with outside of giving me a bucket. There are thieves who WILL steal your stuff. I lost a 2k computer. The dryers are busted and will only HALF dry your laundry if the load is anything bigger than smallish. And it costs 3.25$ so it WILL add up quickly. Microwave handle broke and again maintenance was ignored.

I would say the experience of living here has spiraled downhill big time!!! Management don't care at all about this place or the tenants. The apartment next to mine has been empty for few months and there are roaches coming and going to my apartment. I let them know but they have done nothing. Went to the office to talk to someone and same results.. NOTHING!! I can' cook cause microwave don't work, (Exhaust fan)3 weeks now and yeah.. You guessed it...

I guess you get what you pay for. I have ants in my bathroom just after 25 days of moving. I was shown a “similar apartment” only to find out the cabinets were completely different. No light available in bedroom other than the closest. Trash has been on the stairs on multiple occasions.

Hello, it looks like you just placed a work order for the ant issue on January 25th. We were not aware of this issue before, and will have our Pest Control Contractor come out as soon as possible to get your bathroom treated. There is a light switch in the bedroom that is connected to one of the outlets. You can plug a lamp into the outlet and control it with the light switch. i moved into apartment here in november and wanted to leave a review because some i have seen are pretty inaccurate representations of this complex. hallways and common areas are always clean. you cannot hear neighbors at ALL. people will complain about anything if they can...good complex overall in my opinion (especially when compared to others in the area)

We have resolved our vermin issue over the past few months are continuing to be proactive, most recently by adding 50 more bait boxes around the community. However, we’d be happy to have someone inspect your apartment if pests are still present. For trash, we’ve added an additional trash pick up to help with the garbage overflow that we were seeing and we have a new vendor for our Janitorial Contract starting 12/1 to resolve common area messes such as in our hallways. we did not have a good move in experience at Avana. our move-in date was changed three times, our lease was accidentally deleted and we had to sign a second one, A crucial appointment from the housing inspector was missed, we were issued an additional bill for $218 that was a mistake and we actually did not owe them any money. The cabinets were disgusting with old contact paper stuck to them and they were stained and discolored and there were cobwebs and spiderwebs in the window upon move-in and the heat did not work upon move-in.

Don’t move here. We moved out of there about a month ago and still haven’t gotten our deposit back. Left messages for the property manager several times, but still haven’t heard anything. They are rude and not helpful at all, but are quick to send you that reminder email about rent being due even if you’re a day late. They will increase your rent to crazy amounts. Flooring and appliance are all poor quality. Looks nice at first, but once you start using everything you realize how bad it is.

I would not recommend that anyone live here. I have lived here for 30 years and planned to stay, but Greystar took away all the amenities that were important to me, such as the fireplace, indoor pool and sauna. There are open maintenance needs that haven't been met. I am looking elsewhere.

Avana made it very easy to book a tour and start the leasing process. Within two days we had the okay to live here. We only had to wait 5 days to move in once we had the all clear!!! It was great!

This complex is absolutely disgusting and completely overpriced. The only building that is maintained is the one next to the dog park because their 2bdrm model is in there. The rest of the buildings are almost always trashed. The floors are mopped in the entrance ~1 time maybe a week. The units are sloppily fixed between renters. IT IS NOT A NON-SMOKING COMPLEX. People smoke on their balconies and some even in their units CONSTANTLY. All management will do is send out an email blast telling people its a violation of their lease, and then nothing. If you have your windows or slider open your apartment suddenly reeks of smoke. The dumpsters are CONSTANTLY overflowing. It's gross. The elevators "work" but say a prayer every time you get in one because it feels like the Tower of Terror ride at Disney. The neighbors are loud and completely disrespectful. Packages are stolen daily. Loud music and yelling at all hours of the night no matter the day. What does management do? You guessed it, email blast. They don't care at all. They are so obtuse and unorganized it's a joke. These apartments are absolutely NOT WORTH THE PRICE THEY ARE ADVERTISING FOR. SAVE YOUR SOUL DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!

DO NOT RENT HERE! not worth your time or money. I lived here for almost 6 years so this is not a review from someone who lived here a year. I have been here long enough to experience this place. PLEASE do not live here. If I can help you avoid issues in the future I would love to do it. Management sucks. They will show you this beautiful model and try to get you. They lie. The apartments do not look like that. Even the updated ones, the building they are in have issues. I lived in the model building and they up keep that one well. Then when we moved to a 2 bedroom after having my son. It went downhill FAST. People smoke, are loud steal packages, and nothing works in the building. VERY run down.
