Property Ratings at Avalon Commons
I just got off the phone. I was confirming with the prior resident department on our final bill charge. The statement we received billed us $1050.51, with no breakdowns. I requested a detailed charge break down and was told that these charges are "standard". There is Standard Apartment cleaning, of 488.84 dollars. There is carpet replacement of 486.67 dollars, which according to them, is also standard because we had pets. So no matter how we delivered the apartment they will replace the carpet. Are these charges listed out in the lease? Well, probably. But the actual amount was never revealed. Until, of course, when we moved out. It was ok living here. But try to understand the actual world we are living in. Remember to stand up for your rights when needed and love your neighbors. Good day.
If I could do zero stars I would. If you plan to live at this apartment more than 1 year DO NOT! My rent has been increased by over 30% in just 2 years, almost 20% this year alone! The amenities are terrible. The quality of their updates are poor. If you try to get in touch with someone for any help, it is impossible. You pay for two parking spots but they only give you one assigned spot. There are barely any guest spots so please don't have any family or friends visit. Everything breaks ALL THE TIME. I have rented in NY for over 15 years and never experienced this horror in my life.
Looked great (at first). Within less than 1 month ceiling was leaking, mold growing and air was stale. Despite multiple contacts with the office, all they've done is cut holes in my ceiling and now even more water is leaking out. Stay away.
