Located just west of Downtown Miami, Little Havana is the epicenter of Cuban culture in Miami. Little Havana, named after Cuba’s capital city, is best known for Calle Ocho, the neighborhood’s main commercial thoroughfare brimming with restaurants, specialty shops, art galleries, and dance halls in colorful buildings in addition to a Latin Walk of Fame.

The Little Havana community comes together for an array of annual events, including the popular Calle Ocho Festival, Viernes Culturales/Cultural Fridays, Salsero Sundays, and the Miami Beer Festival at Marlins Park. Marlins Park, home of the MLB Miami Marlins, is also located in the eastern portion of the neighborhood.

Bad apartment

Water heater doesn't work, stove doesn't work, central air system has asbestos and doesn't work, and the refrigerator is falling apart. Also, the toilet is always getting clogged, the shower gets clogged, the bathrooms ceiling is as well falling apart. There is water leakage from the shower and when it rains, the water seeps into the apartment. The electric panel is overcharged, out of code and when you sometimes plug something into the outlet, the breaker goes off. There is a lot of humidity in the bathroom and a lot of dust in the whole apartment. The door does not have a rubber weather seal and the bathroom door is falling apart. The refrigerator's seal is falling apart as well. Our apartment gets excessively hot. When we set the thermostat at a cold temperature, the utility bill comes out to be around $300 each month. The bathroom cabinet is as well falling apart. We have told our complaints to the landlord and the outcome is that there are no repairs done to the apartment in the end. I have had to waste money on the damages that the apartment has, that have not been caused by us for the past 17 years that we have lived in this apartment. We haven't had the opportunity to move to another place since I had an accident at work 2 years ago.
