Property Ratings at 925 at North
Mail thefts and security risks are prevalent due to the open access in all of their buildings' lobbies, where mails and packages are delivered. Many residents, including myself, have recently experienced package losses. Initially, they sent an email to all residents stating their inability to address the issue. When I contacted the property manager, she provided inadequate excuses, insisting on the necessity of maintaining open lobby access for USPS mail carriers. However, when I suggested the installation of technology, a solution implemented by numerous nearby buildings, to allow controlled access for USPS and others, she mentioned that the property owners prohibit such installations. The most concerning argument arose when I highlighted the risk of potential harm or robbery when accessing the lobby for mail retrieval during late evening hours. The property manager dismissively compared this risk to potential dangers in a grocery store or parking lot, equating the safety concerns of an open public space to those within the apartment building itself. Therefore, I strongly advise against renting in any of the Chestnut Hill apartments until this issue is properly addressed.
Pretty junky, feels like I'm living on a construction site since March, with new "projects" popping up constantly. They start work early, the back lot looks terrible and it is very loud with heavy duty construction equipment. You will come home to random chunks of concrete blocking your parking spot for days on end, I've seen them dump small stones right next to cars and actually hit them, and they just shoveled it away before the owner came out. They carried very large beams right over cars, no cones blocking off areas that should be blocked off. Overall it's not worth living here when you can get comparable prices elsewhere, and not have to live on a construction site. Very little updates from management regarding when the mess will be over.

Nice quiet place to live, and when I had to relocate to a different building Joanna went above and beyond to help make sure I was happy with the new apartment. Nice location to Hamden shopping, thick walls between you and your neighbor, and assigned parking are all nice perks.

I’ve resided here 24 years. The maintenance is superb, the apartments are beautiful and spacious and the location unmatched.
I have been living at the Chestnut Hill North Apartments for the past five years. It has been a great experience. It is a nice, quiet area. Our of my neighbors are very friendly. It is right up the street from the Hamden Plaza. I have everything that I need within a two mile radius. My apartment is equipped with central air and all of my utilities are included except for electric. What else could I ask for.
