Maple-leaf cutouts on the front porch and the original brick wood-burning fireplace (yes, you are welcome to use it!) harken back to a time of craftsmanship and care while thoughtful updates to the ample kitchen and crisp clean bathrooms compliment the charm with convenience and cleanliness. Located on a quiet street right downtown and close to I-25, our house is centrally located, walkable to Downtown with coffee shops, restaurants, and entertainment easily accessible. A short drive to all Colorado Springs has to offer, like the Olympic Training Center, Garden of the Gods, Manitou, Seven Falls, and more. The kitchen, bathrooms, and basement have been fully remodeled to meet the needs of contemporary guests without detracting from the charm of many of the original finishes in this 4 bedroom and 1 and 3/4 bathroom home. The back yard area is great for family gatherings, with full lounge seating around a gas fire pit, and even stone seating around a wood-burning fire pit. There is also a tall standing propane heater and a large gas grill for hot appetizers and cocktails as you entertain under twinkling lights, or a s'more night with the kids. Square Footage: 1622 + (200 sq ft gym!) Small dogs welcome for additional pet rent. Sorry, no cats. Stays 30 nights and over require all guests over 18 to complete a brief application and background check at their own expense. If approved we can confirm your stay with a written lease and security deposit. If declined we give a full refund less application and background check fees. This is the closest residential neighborhood to downtown that's still quiet and retains its historic charm. IN WALKING DISTANCE: - Rosco's Coffee serving locally sourced espresso, batch brews, and food is a .3 mile (6 minute walk) away. - 503W, a shwanky eatery on Colorado Avenue with craft cocktails and live music is a .6mi (13 minute walk) away. - Downtown is a .9 mile (18 minute) walk away over the bridge, or super fast Uber. IN DRIVING DISTANCE: - Garden of the Gods is 4.2 Miles (11 Minutes) - Manitou with the Incline and Pikes Peak Cog Railway 6.5 miles (12 minutes) - Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is 6.5 miles (16 minutes) FOR DOG LOVERS: - Bear Creek Regional Park which includes Bear Creek Dog Park (one of the best in the nation) is 2.6 mi (7 minutes) - Pub Dog (just what it sounds like) is 2.6 miles (8 minutes)
