The gourmet kitchen is a true chef’s dream with granite counters, a stainless steel Viking range and oven, a full-size Viking double-door refrigerator and Viking dishwasher, and is fully equipped for everything you'll need to prepare a light meal. There is an adjoining dining room with a table and 4 velvet chairs, credenza, European chandeliers, and a stereo and record player. There is also a TV room off the kitchen and a seating area that has water views of Puget Sound. The glamorous bedroom features a hand-carved king-size bed with elegant crown and luxurious bedding. There's a closet, luggage rack, and chest of drawers for your clothing. You'll be amazed at the king-size sandstone bathroom with an amazing shower for two. Your unit has gas heat, an electric fireplace, and air conditioning. We have high-speed internet and a Roku Smart TV. Binoculars are supplied, as you never know when you will spot a harbor seal, sea otter, eagle, or orca whale swimming by. Every day one can view the marine traffic, from sailboats and pleasure craft to giant ocean-going vessels heading to the Port of Tacoma and back to the Far East. From the patio or sitting inside the living room, one can view across the bay to the port cities of Port Orchard and the Naval Shipyard of Bremerton, plus the island of Vashon and Blake. While we can't cook you breakfast, we do have a nice kitchen and a fully stocked coffee bar, plus fruit and cereal for you to help yourself. Off-street parking is available for one car, right in front of our garage. Watch whales and seals frolic in the waves. Bring your kayak or sailboard or rent them nearby. Dedicated bike lanes or roller skate! Dine at La Rustica Restaurant across the street. Relax in Alki Spa nearby. This is a beach view waterfront apartment, the main level of a stylish duplex, private yet in the middle of the Gold Coast in Seattle. Note: this property is in the city, on a main street, across from a restaurant and the beach. You will hear city noises, restaurant noises, and beach noises. The restaurant is open from 5pm to 9pm and during that time, people will be dining and coming-and-going. The beach is open at 5am to 11pm. No unregistered guests are allowed at any time. Quiet hours are between 8pm and 8am. Due to the water location, this property is not suitable for children. There is one bed, and we have room for one or two people only. No sleeping on any furniture but the bed. Due to allergies and allergy-aware cleaning procedures, no animals are allowed. Check-in time is 5pm and check-out time is 10am.
