Yes, it's called Capitol Hill -- but it isn't the capitol and there's no capitol building. So how did this Seattle neighborhood get its name? Back around 1900, a real estate developer renamed the burgeoning community from "Broadway Hill" to "Capitol Hill" because he wanted the capitol to be moved from Olympia to Seattle. That never happened, and the quirky neighborhood kept its new quirky name. Capitol Hill is the neighborhood for those who love nightlife. As Seattle's premier place to party, Capitol Hill is home to coffee houses, taverns, bars, nightclubs, and theaters.
Home to artists and musicians, Capitol Hill features a variety of festivals and events throughout the year, and it is home to the Capitol Hill Arts District. College students also find their way to the Hill, which is home to Seattle Central College and is just south of the University of Washington.

Property Ratings at 301 Summit Ave
I have been happily living in these apartments for 10 years. The reasons I like living here are 1) Location 2) Views 3) Owners 4) Manager and Maintenance are always there when needed. 1) This location is ideal to me. It's very close to what I need: freeways, downtown, public transportation, shops, bars, and restaurants. There's a pizza place, doughnut / coffee shop , bar, mini marts, all within walking distance and at the same time, My street is more residential than commercial so it is in a quieter area of Capitol hill. 2) Given the apartment location I have a direct view of the Space Needle in Winter when the trees loose their leaves in the little park across the street. I also have a nice partial view of downtown and lake Union. I like that in the summer the leaves cover this though, as the shade is much appreciated as well as the sense of privacy. 3) Owners are a very nice couple who take an interest in the tenants and their buildings upkeep. They have worked with me beyond my expectations when I had trouble making rent. 4) Any scheduled maintenance always is announced to the tenants if there is any impact to us and is done in a timely manner. maintenance requests I've had are always answered promptly and professionally. Manager is always available for any questions or issues that pop up.
