Gorgeous, luxury, light-filled top floor apartment overlooking State Street, the Overture Center, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art and Fresco Rooftop Garden. Perfect for Epic employees and other downtown professionals. This isn't your typical State Street apartment. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit features high-end fixtures like granite countertops and *nice* laminate wood flooring that looks and feels like real wood. Lovely open air balcony with enough seating for 5+ people, overlooking the sights and sounds of State Street. This apartment features wall-to-wall windows in the bedroom and living room, letting in tons of natural light at all times of day. When the windows are closed, the higher floor doesn't let in much street noise so it's remarkably quiet. This unit has an in-unit washer and dryer, dishwasher, shower, tub, walk-in master closed, loads of closet and storage space, an extra SAME-FLOOR storage unit and front and rear entry onto State Street or Johnson Street. Just steps away from incredible breakfast, lunch and dinner lunch options, Cap Center Market, the Dane County Farmers' Market. It's an easy walk to the University and Badger sporting events. Perfect for young professionals and Epic employees! This building has secure double door key fob entries and an elevator. The building itself has only been renting units for 3 years and we've been the first/only people that have rented this unit since it first opened -- so it's in excellent shape. 222 State Street apartments have 8 units, so the floors are quiet. We've absolutely loved living here and are very sad to move! The building is managed by Madison Property Management (MPM), one of the largest property managers in the Madison area, with over 4,500 units under management. As much as I like to rag on landlords, I'll admit that MPM has been excellent -- we've always received same-day responses and issues have been fixed within a couple days. There are other apartments for rent in this building, but this top floor unit is the best if you value quietness and spectacular views. You would be taking over our lease and thus signing what is effectively a 8-month lease running until May 31, 2018 -- though you're free to extend beyond that date. There are a couple of other great things about the building that my wife or I would be happy to tell you about offline. Please contact the MPM office to submit an application.
