About This Property
Make your home in the best of both a house and an apartment. TWO FLOORS (1000 sq ft main and 400 sq ft loft) offer huge sunset views of the Olympic mountains and Elliott Bay. It's built for entertaining. Queen Anne Hill one of the best parts of town, and this large, unique unit is in a solid, historic 1911 Queen Anne Craftsman house. Only 2 units in the building, which stands in a little village on the west side of the hill. Remodeled extensively just over a year ago with a tasteful merging of modern and classic. The spacious kitchen with stainless steel finishes has enough space for two cooks to easily work without bumping into each other. It features a gourmet gas range and a farmhouse Kohler sink with its Franke faucet. The countertops are hand-made—from 120-year-old reclaimed church pews no less. Adjacent to the kitchen is a breakfast bar and next to that, a formal dining area that can easily accommodate a six-top table. Sharing the space is the living room which looks right out a new bank of windows to the mountain view. There is a built-in bookcase which swings open to reveal a hidden closet: what old house doesn’t have its secrets? The bedroom is set up as a suite, with bed chamber, dressing area and a walk-in closet so big it has its own smaller walk-in closet. The main bathroom has a marble-topped dual vanity and recently installed Maax shower stall with HansGrohe trim. Off the bath is a separate laundry room—almost no one can offer that. The loft has a separate entry off the main staircase, and features the best views in the house, plus it has its own half-bath. Ideal for an office—visitors don’t need to go into the main part of the apartment. We can't offer the space as a bedroom, but we recognize that some may use it that way and have included safety features. Comes with a parking spot, but you don't really need a car: there are small businesses on the block, and the No. 1 bus line is just at the corner to take you straight downtown past Seattle Center. The Center is an easy 30-minute walk; it's 10-minutes to businesses on McGraw; and 20 minutes to the many restaurants and shops on Queen Anne Avenue. The apartment has a exclusive outdoor area, with a lockable gate. If anything breaks or otherwise goes wrong, the owner lives nearby. No waiting for a corporation to get around to it. Water, sewer and garbage are included, tenant handles gas, electric and Internet.

Perched on a tree-filled hill, Queen Anne is one of Seattle's most famous neighborhoods. It is named for the elegant Victorians that once dominated the landscape. Today, only a handful of the Queen Anne homes remain. As one of Seattle's largest neighborhoods, Queen Anne is often referred to in smaller sections, such as North Queen Anne or Lower Queen Anne.
Extending from the north end of Downtown Seattle to Lake Union's Fremont Cut, Queen Anne changes as you travel through the neighborhood -- the end closest to downtown contains the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, the Museum of Pop Culture, and Key Arena. The north end is a little more residential and is home to Seattle Pacific University. Be sure to visit Kerry Park for amazing views of Downtown Seattle and Mount Rainier.
