Welcome to Apartment 3 in the historic Dufrenne Building right in the middle of downtown Middleton, the vibrant hub of Middleton, WI. This lovely old building, built in 1898, is one of the oldest buildings in the Middleton area that has been completely restored to its original look when it was built in 1898 and operated as a general store. There is a retail gift shop on the main level and 3 apartments on the second floor. Apartment 3 has the most private location and has sunny west windows that flood the living room and kitchen with natural light. This is a petite one bedroom apartment with a full bath, bedroom, large living room and good-sized kitchen. Parking is free on the street or in one of the several city parking lots that are 1/2 block away. No laundry facilities in the building, however there are several in the general area (within one mile). 20 steps up, with original maple floors, remodeled bath, wide mouldings and arched doorways, spacious living room, bedroom large enough for a queen bed, and kitchen with plenty of storage, a gas stove, new refrigerator, and room for a small table. 20 restaurants out your front door, walking access to any service you would need and close to public transportation. No washer or dryer on premises, sorry no pets. We have very long-term tenants in the building and the building is respected and well-maintained by the owners and tenants. Just out your front door are tons of restaurants, shops, businesses, beauty salons, work-out facilities, the free trolley which will take you for free anywhere in the general downtown Middleton area, the Willy St grocery coop is 6 blocks away, and you have a front row seat for all music and festivals that call downtown Middleton home. This is truly a fun and vibrant walkable community of people who adore downtown Middleton. Free off-street overnight parking is one block away in city of Middleton parking lot, or on-street for shorter periods of time right in front of building. Tenants pay gas and electric. Average gas and electric is $64/month.
