About This Home

3 Month Lease

Subletting this beautiful updated room in Apartment 1 of 1550 Tremont Street in the historic and tight-knit Mission Hill neighborhood. Let's start with location: Located right across from the "Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help", you are granted beautiful views right outside your doorstep. You are about a 5 minute's walk from a Stop and Shop for groceries, a Subway, an international market (Bread and Butter), Lilly's Gourmet Pasta, Mike's Donuts (my favorite), Green Haus coffee, and many other markets and restaurants. There's also a Walgreens and a TGI Fridays in the same plaza as the Stop and Shop, along with a JP Licks. You are about a 5-10 minute walk from the Brigham Circle T stop, connecting you to the Green Line E Branch, and about 5-10 minutes from the Roxbury Crossing T stop, connecting you to the Orange Line. Bus Route 66 also has a bus stop just down the block to take you into Coolidge Corner and the Brookline area, up to Harvard Square, or down to Nubian Station. Now the apartment: The apartment is co-ed. You are located on the first floor (and the basement level), with a slight walk up to the entrance. This is not wheelchair accessible. The apartment itself is a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. There is a spacious living room with views to Tremont Street, a renovated kitchen with granite countertops, a spacious fridge, stove, oven, sink, and plenty of cabinet space. The back door to the apartment is located in the kitchen, leading you to the surface parking lot and trash/recycling for the entire townhome outside. To get to the trash it is less than a minute's walk from the backdoor. The apartment is divided into two floors. Your room is located on the first floor, just in front of the entrance. Despite this the room itself is fairly quiet and you don't hear much noise from the living room or the entrance. There are two other bedrooms on the first floor, along with the living room, kitchen, laundry, storage closet (pictured), and two bathrooms. The bottom floor has two rooms, a stairway to get there, and additional storage. Now let's talk about your room: The room itself is fairly spacious, especially for the rent. There is a door that locks for the entrance to your room, and there are coat hooks on the back of your door. Built into the room are shelves for various items, whether it be your wallet, keys, accessories, or decorations. These are the small white shelves pictured. In addition, you have your own closet in the room, with a clothes rack for most clothes, shelving, and coat hooks (the same type as on the back of your door) behind the clothes rack for heavier items (like large coats). There is an overhead light in the room, and a radiator to keep warm. The room has high ceilings, giving it a more spacious feel, hardwood flooring, and large windows with a view towards Tremont Street. Curtains are included. The windows do open, but only one window has a screen on it (to keep out bugs). I am flexible if you want to bring furniture, or if you'd rather buy them from me. Just let me know in advance. If you do buy from me, I am willing to sell my desk, bed frame, mattress, rug, desk chair, TV stand, TV, and speakers (under record player). The nightstand is free. The start date of the lease is also flexible (May 1st), but the end date of September 1st is set. Financial Details: Rent is $1175 per month. Gas and electric are the two utilities you pay in addition to rent, ranging from $60 to $240 in total per month. Typically winter months are higher as it uses more gas to keep warm. Safety: Both guys and girls in the apartment have not had any major safety concerns in Mission Hill. The walk up to the apartment is lit, and there is a large college population (primarily Northeastern) in the area. Dropping off packages is mostly done outside, but there have been no concerns of people stealing them. Most times, the residents of the townhome will bring packages inside, past the first locked door to the townhome. From there, to enter the apartment, you unlock the apartment door.

1550 Tremont St is an apartment community located in Suffolk County and the 02120 ZIP Code.
