Down the stairs to a large bedroom taking up the first quarter of the whole floor. This room, with windows to the front of the house, has its own private door and includes a window bay, a large alcove for a bed, a seating area , a fire place, and closets. The hallway takes you to the second bedroom and a full bathroom. The end of the hall takes you to the third bedroom with a ensuite bathroom and its own entrance to a patio at the rear of the home. There is a full size washer and dryer in the outside the bedrooms in the hallway. This is a great place in the most vibrant location in the city. Restaurants, stores, bars, and much more are a short walk. The famous Diplomat Restaurant on 14th is only 500 feet away. Owners live on the top two floors. The apartment is the first two floors. I've always had long term tenants from 3 to over 9 years. The place is perfect for room mates or a family. It is a short walk to 4 Metro stations McPherson Square (Silver, Orange, Blue, Red lines). Dupont Station (Red line). Mount Vernon and U Street (Yellow and Green lines). This is the neighborhood to live in. I've lived here since the early 1990's. The street is beautiful and well maintained. Twice a year the neighbors garden together and clean up the block, plant, and mulch. If you work on the Hill, you can walk to work. I walked every day to 6th and Pennsylvania. If you work on "K" street, you can walk to work. Anywhere else you can metro easily whether that is Bethesda, Tysons, Roslyn, Silver Spring, Alexandria or many other places in the metro area/DMV. Available to show upon request.
