1000 Jefferson Street Apartments

The rent keeps increasing for tenants, even though the prices listed on the website stay the same—or sometimes even decrease. Maintenance has been a consistent challenge, with too many issues in a single apartment, and the pool is often closed. It started as a good option, but unfortunately, the experience has been getting worse over time.

The building and neighbors are nice. The amenities are okay… they used to be better. There’s chairs missing from the grilling are (there were 12, now there are only 4), the pool area is a mess (every time you try to relax there’s more than 20 kids inside throwing toys around, including babies wearing diapers). The gym is still fine

Great place to live - clean common areas and friendly staff. The elevators run into issues frequently, but they usually fix them within the same day. The maintenance staff is very responsive and helpful.

Great building and tenants. It's a fun community to be a part of. The staff is super friendly and accommodating! Any issues that we have are addressed and fixed in a timely manner

Still love this apartment but some things have been going downhill… 1. The gym: the EZ bar is still missing, many months have past since building manager responded to review saying it would be replaced promptly 2. The elevators seem to brake all the time! Even right now, they are working but feels unsafe because it swings on every stop and sometimes randomly calls the firefighters without pressing the emergency button Everything else seems to be doing alright

Everyone is so helpful and the building is beautiful It is easy to get in touch with management and maintenance if need be. Building is quiet and clean :)

The only EZ bar at the gym has been missing so the gym isn’t what it used to be. Manager said it would be replaced more than a month ago but still not there. The rest of the amenities are fine. The community is very nice. Noise isolation could be better but it’s not bad. Maintenance staff is attentive and quick.

Management and maintenance staff are very responsive. Common areas are kept clean. There are sometimes issues with pool maintenance but hopefully lessons were learned from last summer and this summer will be better. Overall I like living here. The rent increases are frustrating but that is the ownership and pressure from investors, not the people who work here.

Thoroughly enjoy living at 1000 Jefferson! No complaints. Enjoy all of the amenities as well as the helpful staff. I've been living here for a few years and just resigned my lease!

Love this apartment building, specially having a dog since almost everyone has one. The neighbors are nice. The amenities are really good, would say the gym is perfect but the only EZ bar has been missing for a couple of weeks now so it’s not as good anymore.

Great apartment. High ceilings. Quiet walls. Lots of light. Great amenities. Responsive and efficient staff. Central location in Hoboken. It is just a nice place to live.

Great community in the building. Sometimes the office staff is a little more corporate and a little less helpful and they let the expensive apartments fall apart while still raising the rent, but they’re nice enough I guess.

The maintenance and office personnel are responsive when contacted. The building's amenities are nice. I always look forward to the building freebies and events. This residence is great for families.

So far it has been a good experience. The staff are friendly and helpful to all residence. The complex is always clean and is great for residence to continue to live here.

I truly enjoy living here… it’s quiet but there is a lot to do in the area. People are kind and considerate. The entrance and hallways are clean and smell amazing. The convenience of the apps make it easy to have guests, pay your rent and report maintenance requests.

Absolutely love living at 1000 Jefferson! The location, amenities, apartment layout and staff are all terrific. There is also a lovely sense of community, which can be rare to find. Definitely recommend!

I've lived at 1000 Jefferson for over 3 years now and have been very happy with the apartment community. The building is always clean and maintenance/management are very responsive to all questions and issues. The amenities including the rooftop, gym, grills, and pool are all great and well maintained. Their pricing is competitive in Hoboken in comparison to other managed apartment buildings. It has been a great experience living here!

Great place to live, nice neighborhood, and great staff and amenities

Through my experience so far, Leasing and Management has been difficult to talk to/get answers/get things done. They seem like kind people face-to-face but struggle substantially to get back to tenants. Regarding Maintenance, for simple requests, they show up very quick which is great. However for bigger asks (broken windows, leaking ceilings, etc) it takes very very long for fixing.

While the leasing office staff isnt on top of things, once you move in the place is GREAT. Clean, quiet, safe environment in a good location. Also, the maintenance staff (especially Jose) is AMAZING!!

We moved in over the summer, and couldn't be happier with the staff attention and amenities in the building. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to support. Plus, the pool/gym/grills/roof deck are terrific! Great community.

The staff here is what makes it worth your while. Good customer service goes a long way. Love this place

The apartments and amenities are great but you need to be on top of the leasing agents in order to get things done. Maintenance has been fantastic.

1000 Jefferson is a beautiful, clean apartment building with great amenities and a friendly community!

Management has not been the easiest to work with. I understand there is new management now so I'm hoping that things get better. I liked the building but have a sour taste in my mouth from them.

Location is nice and coffee shop right outside. Nice walk to downtown and nice views when going to the pier.

Great community and people. I enjoy the metro atmosphere and how close everything is to the city. The shuttle bus is convenient and saves money. I love that it is dog friendly and lobbies are kept clean. It has been a pleasure to call 1000 Jefferson home.

The new maintenance team is on the ball! They are responsive, knowledgeable and are making some significant repairs and upgrades. Kudos to the management team for hiring them!

Needs a lot of work

We absolutely love the building, and Alexis, the new contact for the building. We have a great spot in the garage. Our Apartment was completely renovated and absolutely exceeded our expectations. Our move was simple and seamless. There is always someone there to lend a helping hand and all the residents are extremely friendly. Just yesterday they were repainting the hallways to fix any spots. The maintenance guys are so friendly and helpful. They are very responsive. I would highly recommend this building. The shuttle to the path is so easy and runs very conveniently.

The guys are great. Not only are the apartments really nice, but they do hold community events on a regular basis. As someone who works from home, it can be very easy to be cooped up in my own apartment. Thank you team!

The staff are so warm and welcoming, this is the first apartment in Hoboken I have lived in that truly feels like a home.

The building management team here at 1000 Jefferson is hard-working, professional, courteous, and very quick to respond to issues!

Very professional staff that helped us on every step to obtaining our apartment. They were extremely accommodating and made our move-in stress free.

I normally don;t write reviews that are negative, but watching that promo video... I haven't stopped laughing. This place is a dump. There is trash in the hallways, always. The rugs are stained everywhere from trash, puke, animals doing their thing. Ok, animals can only hold it in so much. But leaving it there for days is crazy. And never shampooing the rugs, double crazy. 5 years of just watching this place turn into a dumpster. Your parking spot is taken all the time. Not just by rude residents or their friends, but contractors. We just park in the street if we find an open spot to not go through the aggravation. Imagine that, though we pay for a spot. The staff turnover is insane. Nobody sticks around. I am just trying to figure out if it's because they know what a disaster it is or is it due to the incompetent management. The guy in charge now is worse than clueless, he thinks he knows it all. And you can only get to that assessment of him if you are lucky to find him there the one hour a week he shows up. He is literally never there. What a sweet job managing a building from the golf course or wherever else he is. His staff is Clueless. But I mean from the movie, like really, oh my gawd, wow... Not much going on upstairs if you know what I mean. The video shows a pool. It's beautiful. No, it's a big tub. 3 feet deep. The video shows grills. They never work!!! An outdoor TV, that also never works. And that is if you're able enough to control it once it is on. I could go on and on. It shows a nice apartment with backsplash. That is a handful of units that got remodeled. Tee vast majority have a black granite top and no backsplash. They have broken appliances that never get fixed or replaced. You better be handy because if anything goes wrong, you are on your own. Faulty fire alarms going off all the frigging time. And constant panel beeping. Safety means nothing here. So much more, but I think this sums it up. So why do I live here? Great question. I came in when there was a great property manager. At this point, I am just letting my lease run out, so this summer I am out! Enough is enough. Do yourself a favor and learn form my mistakes, there is nothing "luxury" about these dated, poorly managed apartments. I'd give it zero stars as they don't deserve the one.

This place is constantly broken into and things are stolen. I have to move out because there is such issues with it. I would never live in a greystar managed building again

1000 Jefferson is a great building. Apartments are in pristine condition upon move in, including new carpet, fresh paint, and a cleaned/sealant bathroom. All the appliances work great and the entire unit is incredibly spacious, with ample closet space in both the master and 2nd bedroom. But what really sells this apartment is the amenities & luxury services. Shuttle to/from the PATH station, 24/7 package concierge, 24/7 gym, pool (not deep enough for swimming laps, but nice to cool off in during the summer), courtyard with multiple grills and eating areas, rooftop for sun lounging, I could go on & on. Additionally, the leasing office provides a lot of opportunities to meet others in the building such as wine & tapas nights on the rooftop, happy hours at a local bar, weeknight yoga classes taught in the building, monthly free breakfast in the lobby, and dog "yappy hours" in the courtyard for all the pups to meet & greet one another. Truly a wonderful living experience and very attentive to any maintenance request you may have. The hospitality of 1000 Jefferson makes it feel more like a resort than an apartment.
