Perhaps the biggest development to spur Canton's commercial space was the opening of Ikea along Ford Road. But Ikea is hardly the only retail development. While there are no shopping malls within Canton's city limits - the closest are the Westland Mall in bordering Westland or Laurel Park in nearby Livonia - Canton is home to a Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Kroger, Meijer, Target, Lowe's, Kohl's and many smaller retail outlet stores such as Old Navy.
