Windsor Ballard

Besides the excellent management staff, Windsor Ballard is perfect for those without a car. Within 2 blocks there are two large grocery stores, Safeway and Town and Country, and a Walgreens. Within 9 blocks there is an excellent hardware (Stone Way), a UPS store, a Post Office, numerous medical and dental clinics, a Trader Joes, veterinarians, pet supply stores, small breweries and cafes, and a great dog grooming and boarding company City Dog, (just next door). Moreover, Windsor is in the midst of a quiet residential area with several small parks and numerous routes for dog walking so you and your pooch will never get bored. Also the apartments are on major bus routes within 2 blocks that stop every 10 to 15 minutes.

I am amazed by how supportive the Team and community is here! The Leasing Team and Maintenance team have been so supportive and helpful! I recommend living here and getting to know the community, This is by far the best property I have ever lived at. Thank you Windsor Ballard!

I’ve really enjoyed the new maintenance crew! I was an Ava resident and wondered how the old team would be replaced, since they were amazing. I’ve got to say—Windsor has a great crew here too! Both Brian and Christen are fantastic at what they do. They’re very kind and always willing to help out. When I was moving down the hall, Christen offered to help me after hours, since I wasn’t able to find anyone else at the time. Brian is always respectful and professional when he’s working. I had a maintenance request a few weeks ago, and Brian even took his shoes off before entering my apartment. That might not sound like a typical comment, but I keep my place super clean, and without me saying anything, he noticed and kindly did that. Those small details truly speak for themselves. I’m very happy to still be here—5 stars!

It is in the heart of Ballard. Shopping for groceries is very convenient because there are many options. Public school is not very far as well if you have children. The staff here is very supportive and friendly.

AC in common spaces only; no in unit AC. Package room closed for construction, so it’s a scavenger hunt to locate your deliveries. All community features currently closed under construction (with exception of rooftop/courtyard), not disclosed prior to move in back in May. Have not seen significant progress on the construction, unclear if/when they will reopen. Great location if you don’t mind paying the premium given the current state of the property. Might be a better experience when you won’t be living in a construction zone. Suggest you tour in person prior to signing.

The apartment location is great and the amenities would be nice if any were available. Currently the lobby, lounge, and gym are all closed for renovations. The outside of the building is being painted sections of the building have to keep all their windows closed during a heat wave (I’m not sure why AC is listed as an amenity since I’ve yet to meet anyone who has building-provided AC in their unit and now we don’t even have windows), the Amazon locker is broken, and the dog park has no gate.

After moving from a single family home I lived in for 46 years, I was hesitant to move to any apartment. But I discovered not long after I moved in how much I liked living in a community like Windsor Ballard both for its friendly residents and staff and lovely walking neighborhood. Everything is so convenient -- with 2 large grocery stores just across the street, drug store, dog grooming, hardware store, doctor and dentist etc. -- that I don't even need a car. The bus connections here are also great. Couldn't ask for more!

Windsor Ballard is a terrible community; overpriced, dirty, always in the midst of construction, poor communication from staff, and prices for rentals are high considering amenities are under construction and unusable. Would not recommend to anyone.

Excellent and responsive to any needs. So appreciate everyone helping me but Rey has been outstanding.

I love it here! The floor plans are unique and interesting, having a semi-private outdoor space is a pleasant surprise, and the community is well maintained. Rey went above and beyond to help with my move in experience.

An always eager-to-help management and staff makes Windsor Ballard an ideal home. Friendly and helpful residents also contribute to this cooperative vibe. Great place to live!

Christian was extremely helpful today in resolving a couple of our apartment maintenance issues, and I really appreciated his positive attitude, willingness to help, and quick, efficient fixes! Glad he's part of the Community team for Windsor Ballard

AVA Ballard is close to quite a few things...Safeway, Walgreens, and plenty of other things down the street in Ballard. Located right at 15th Ave W and NW Market St, it's a fairly busy area, so avoid it if you don't want a bit of ambient road noise during the summer months of open windows. It's a huge building, so you'll likely run into quite a few new people after moving in, which can be nice, or not, depending on your personality. My only complaint is the fact that they pass-through the sewer capacity charge, which is a fee that builders are supposed to pay or be responsible for (it's separate from the sewer usage fee, which you'll also pay). Overall...good!

I've lived here over a year and have loved every second! The layout of my apartment is unique in a way that truly maximizes the space and creates quite an open feel. The building is also unique for the area and includes multiple roof-top barbecues, a 24 hour gym, and a "chill space" complete with arcade machines. The staff have made me feel at home since the day I moved in, remembering my name and even apartment number. My favorite aspect of the apartment are all of the modern touches, particularly the chalkboard wall, equipped with a "Welcome Home" statement upon our move-in date. I love my home!
