Property Ratings at Windemere at Sycamore Highlands
Not sure how this complex has a 4.8 rating LOL. Dog poop is everywhere including all over the dog park. Depending on what building you rent in, you are on top of warehouses which don’t have “quiet hours” so you will be blessed with the sounds of trucks at 5am, 10pm, and every hour in between too. A few years ago there was a robbery which resulted in the murder of one suspect in the parking lot and the complex acted like nothing happened. Unit was rented out maybe 2 weeks later? Bullet holes in the window but nothing to see here. Oh and wait until you move out! Don’t expect any portion of your deposit back and plan to be charged hundreds of dollars because you existed in your apartment. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is for Mike the maintenance guy. Good luck!!!

I called to inquire about an available unit and the corporate leasing agent was not informed on the properties amenities. I spoke with someone else and was told that a garage was included with the apartment (which was a huge selling point for me) and then I received a text saying that was actually not the case and it was an additional fee. I accepted that and then received another text later saying that garages are unavailable and I would need to be put on a waitlist. Management is clearly disorganized and uninformed, I would really hesitate to rent from a complex like this if you are searching.
I have lived at at least 5 apartments in the Inland Empire and I can say this isn't the best, but it's not the worst either. The management is very understanding if you are ever late paying rent, you just need to communicate that. I lost my job about 6 months after moving here and they were very understanding if I had a late payment. On a different note, I have stayed at a cleaner complex . They allow dogs and people don't always clean up behind their dogs and management isn't much better.
The Windermere is a decent place to live . Office staff is friendly and maintenance is quick to fix anything in your home . The grounds are kept up with except for the stairways that need a good power washing .Open Parking can be difficult at times . The poor , gym , clubhouse and office is always clean . Dumpster divers are a big problem ,It's creepy to see them and when they are done the trash bins smells so badly from them opening and moving around trash bags . Over all I would recommend this apartment complex .
