After selling my house, I was worried about adjusting to apartment life, but Wheaton Village really feels more like my own condo unit. The 2-car garage is a huge plus, having my own washer and dryer, and not hearing neighbors through the walls or anything makes it seem more like a condo than apartments. I haven’t lived here long, but am seeing familiar faces as I walk my dog and all the neighbors are polite and friendly. Can’t wait to attend my first community event. Aside from all of that, I might’ve moved into Wheaton Village just because of how amazingly attentive and accommodating the property manager, Bobbi, is. She understood the stresses of moving and was quick to offer to help with WiFi/cable, walked me through creating an account on the community portal, and just overall made it an easier adjustment for me. Have lived here almost 7 years and really Love it. The property is kept immaculate and any maintenance issues are handled immediately. The neighbors are very respectful and its always quiet. Wheaton Village is a well-maintained and quiet apartment community surrounded by mature, tree lined neighborhoods. Bobbi is a great Property Manager and Jason efficiently performs maintenance requests in a timely manner. Bobbi works hard to meet resident needs, and activities are planned at the Clubhouse.

This is a great place to live. Bobbie is a very caring property manager who cares for her renter's and those looking for a place to live. She always goes the extra mile for you. The place is kept up well and the people who live here are very friendly. It is a safe place to live and also very quiet. I love living here and have been here almost 7 years. Keep up the good work Bobbie. Also Jason who takes care of the property does a great job. It is so quiet here! The units are not stacked so you don’t have anyone living above or below you. The two car garage, large kitchen and huge laundry room are pluses for me. The property manager, Bobbi, is so helpful and friendly! This is a great community to live in! Rob A

Beautiful setting close to shopping and easy to get wherever you want to go in Columbus. Apartment is spacious, clean, and well-kept inside and out. Today we have been 1 year and love it. Property manager is great, any questions or requests are answered right away, and she is always pleasant. Maintenance staff is courtesy and promptly handles ant problems. Wheaton Village is a great place to call home. Condo style living with your own attached two-car garage and driveway. Nice community with an awesome management/maintenance staff. Great floor space and layout. All amenities including space for full size washer and dryer. Quiet community where everyone is friendly. Management and maintenance are always available and offer caring concern for any problems. The units are condo like and are easy to heat and cool…swimming pool and attached two car garages are a plus. When I first saw my unit, I felt like I had found a “forever” home! Karen K

I moved in to Wheaton Village in February and haven’t had a single regret. It’s a fabulous, well-kept, and friendly community. Bobbi, in the office, goes above and beyond to ensure that the needs of all residents are met. I was impressed by her friendliness and knowledge the very first time I met her. I am very impressed that she knows her residents and calls them by name. Jason, the maintenance manager always takes care of any necessary issues in a timely manner. He too, is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend that you give Wheaton Village a chance. The apartments are very comfortable and quite large. Kym L.

Since this community was sold in 2022 it has gone downhill. No community events. No calendar or monthly communication with their residents. Raised the rent $300 dollars. So we all were forced to move. Then we get a bill where our security deposit was used up by a improper notice fee of 695.00 plus a fee of 565.00 for a supposed buyout fee. We lived here for 6 years and it WAS an awesome place to live in a great small community. Now maintenance does nothing but look at any issue you may have. Also the property has drainage issues and porches flood. Before this was bought by Ackerman we had community events. The property management knew the residents because each month there were monthly events. Breakfast events where you could stop in the office before work and get a treat. Or pizza nights where you could stop in for pizza on your way home. Treats left at your door on holidays. Now they do nothing.

As to the specific examples you shared, this is very helpful background that has helped ensure an improved experience for our current and future residents. At this point, we can only apologize for not meeting your expectations during your residency and wish that we had not only responded sooner but had a timelier conversation with you to better understand your concerns. We want to take a moment to let you know that since purchasing the community, the management team has worked very hard to implement some of the activities and programs you mentioned in your review. The community now has a formal resident activities and engagement program that accounts for 1-2 hosted events monthly. Most recently, a New Year’s Happy Hour was held with an amazing turnout, and in December we provided “Breakfast on the Go” at the entrance to the community. You are correct that there is so much value in residents knowing each other and for the management team to know and relate with the valued residents of the community. And this program does a great job in creating the opportunity for both. We have several exciting events and improvements to the community experience coming in 2023 and would love the opportunity to speak with you personally and share more about our progress since you moved out. While we wish you the best, wherever you may be currently, we would also love the opportunity to earn back your business.
