I made the mistake of trusting the reviews and the pics on here. They must have paid for these 4 & 5 star reviews because only a homeless person would think it was 4 or 5 stars! Talk about false advertising! It says gated community, the gate never closes. It says W/D in unit, they have to rent a portable Washer that hooks up to the sink when you want to use it. It says newly renovated and new appliances, the apt I got had not been updated since it was built and the appliances were old and rusty!

Maintenance responds fast, and Chris has been extremely kind and helpful so far. I’ve noticed several people letting their dogs wander around of their leashes, and unfortunately, my downstairs neighbors LOVE watching their television until all hours of the morning at EXTREMELY loud volumes. Other than those issues, it’s affordable, the grounds are well kept and beautiful, and the apartments are in a private location.

First moved in without an exhaust fan in the main bath. I waited until 5 months later for them to put one in. the apartment above me had a water leak with thier HVAC unit causing mold problems in my apartment back in August 2020. The management still has yet to actually fix the water damage after it's been 5 months. Every part of the management switch has been very disorganized. This has been the most overpriced apartment I have ever had. DO NOT STAY HERE

Just renewed for our third year! Love this place, the office and maintenance staff are very friendly and quick to help. Love the events that are planned throughout the year. It’s a great community to raise a family. The updated pool and gym and new painted buildings are a nice addition. The gated community is such a great bonus! It’s nice to live in a community where safety is priority.
We have lived here several years and it continues to improve. Great manager and staff. Everything was painted this year and looks very modern. Love the location - feels private but minutes to everything.

We've been living at WestWind for just under two years now, and fully plan on renewing our lease in a couple months for a third year. In the last year, some massive improvements have made this an amazing community to live in, from the forming of a neighborhood watch and installation of grounds cameras and great lighting, to the newly remodeled - and awesome! - gym. They're even working on refinishing the pool! There are a couple of clean, well-lit dog parks in the community, and a large number of younger school kids, which gives it a comfortable, safe feel. Periodically the complex throws local events on-site, which are always great for meeting the neighbors. In our building specifically, all of our neighbors have been pleasant and super friendly. When we walk our dog, anyone out and about always smiles and waves. It seems small, but it's a really great feeling to be surrounded by happy people. It's really hard to find that these days. The office manager has worked really hard to make sure that everyone is safe and happy with their residency. We've had a few things break down on us from normal wear-and-tear - the dining room ceiling fan, garbage disposal - Maintenance has always shown up promptly, working within our schedule to make sure everything gets fixed or replaced. They maintain the lot really well in snow as well, which helped us tremendously this past winter on far too many occasions. Even with all the improvements, rent is extremely reasonable, and the location is amazing! We're literally a five minute drive to Valley View Mall, close access to 581/81 for when we go on road trips, and nearby access to the Greenway walking paths, which has become one of our favorite summer activities. It seems a bit overly stated at this point, but I can't recommend WestWind enough. We love the staff, we love our neighbors, and we love our home. At this point, I can't foresee us moving away for a very long time. Thanks WestWind!
The model is NOT what you will get. I didn't have a working dishwasher for months! The front desk ladies kept saying they wrote a note for maintence (ON A POST IT). My AC broke and they lagged on fixing it resulting in two $200 electric bills. My door didn't lock and I had to make a scene just to get it fixed. Also had something black growing on my windows and under my carpet. Sadly, I have to give one star just to leave this review. Go somewhere else and pay an extra $20 for a complex that actually cares about your well being.
I love living at west wind apartments. They have a pool to relax by, a fitness center to burn off some steam at and they have a picnic grilling area to chill with friends. Brian, Sonia and Crystal in the apartment office are all very accomodations and people oriented. When my ac broke down they worked with me to get a brand new unit and put me in a suite for a few days until it was fixed. Overall great place to live! :)
This is a good place to live. Quiet neighborhood and safe.
