Tour with Izzy My husband and I took the tour with Izzy, and she was absolutely amazing. The place is also fantastic and would certainly suit our needs. However, we’ve decided not to move to the downtown area and will stay in Lincoln Park instead. But we loved getting to know the building and knowing that this opportunity exists in the area. I have lived in 4 other high rises in River North over the years, and West 77 has been the best by far. The staff (management, concierge and maintenance) is amazing. Any reasonable request I have has been attended to in a timely manner by EOB. Also, this is the only high rise thus far that exhibits a unique security: the fob entry is so secure no one can enter the building from outside without concierge permission. In other high rises, people can just walk into the lobby. I give this place 10 out of 5 stars!!!

Awesome location in River North, the staff are all super friendly, the building has a solid gym, the rooftop is a lot of fun when the weather is nice (with multiple grills), and very fair pricing for the area.

Moving in was a literal dream compared to how I thought it would be. The front desk staff is AMAZING! SO helpful. I needed to move in a few days eaarlier too last minute and jordan was so quick to coordinate everything for me and make sure I was able to do so.
Incredible location and amenities. The units are spacious and updated and all have beautiful views of the city.

I would recommend this building to everyone unless they get packages delivered a lot. Anytime I've been sent a package it has either been lost, misplaced, mislabeled, or I've gotten email about packages that don't even exist. Not a big deal for me bc I do not get stuff sent frequently but it would be very frustrating if I did.
Great experience here I just wish the package system was more orderly. I never know where to go when I get my package (front desk or the back) and I would like if I received notifications when I have a package.
The community is great!, the rooftop is a perfect place to relax, front desk staff is great!

The smoothest moving in process. I love the freight entrance and getting to use the back elevator. Plus always having carts available made it super easy. The location of this place is unmatched. For the maintenance, it was super nice he called and respected my boundaries especially during covid, I was conveniently out of town for a few days, so it was done when I got back! So nice.
Amenities were great. Very clean. Friendly staff. Just ended up being too far from my workplace.
The maintenance team at 77 W. Huron is so awesome and friendly. They've truly been wonderful throughout the entire pandemic.
Love this place! Especially the staff (well and the views). From the maintenance staff to the door staff to the front office (which I thankfully don't have too much interaction with outside of the social activities, which is actually a really good thing, means no problems with my place!)

Front door security (Or lack thereof) gives me concern. The new package room situation is ridiculously disorganized.

Luxerone is a good solution if there are individual lockers. using one room that fits all packages is a big mess. i wish we go back to the old system.
The community is very friendly and welcoming. We have loved living in West 77 and renewed our lease. We love calling it our home. The office personal is very friendly and provides many opportunities for community events.

I would recommend friends to look at it (great space for a studio). I was personally partial to having in-unit washer/dryer and there were other options with better ameneties so I ended up not leasing here.

I think prices started to outgrow the building. When it was time to renew my lease I found much better prices for larger units in buildings with better amenities.

Positives: Amenities are great, the building is well maintained, front desk staff are friendly and professional, maintenance is prompt, pet-friendly and my apartment itself is nice. Cons: Very high numbers of airbnb guests make the building feel like a hotel, security with substitute front-door staff is lax, prefer gas stove, the apartment itself expensive for the amount of space - only worth it if you value the neighborhood + amenities

I loved west77, especially the front door staff (Debbie, Tracey, and Marilyn are all fantastic). The downsides for me were the cost, including the AUM utilities cost, and the front office. Some of the staff there can be very fake, there's an extremely high turnover, and, when I asked for advice on other good property companies in the area because I knew I couldn't afford to live in a Lincoln building any longer, they just ignored reality and kept trying to sell me on Lincoln. I get that might be training or a natural reaction but it was extremely frustrating that they weren't willing to help a still-current resident with a bit of advice.

It is in a great neighborhood with all the amenities you could want and has been recently renovated. Haven't encountered to many down sides other than the kitchen size and the wood floors scratch easy and are not really wood.
