Wellshire is known as one of the city’s best neighborhoods to live in. Wellshire is home to several parks and the Wellshire Golf Course. Wellshire also has bike lanes and trails like the High Line Canal Trail for residents to enjoy. Residents appreciate living just eight miles away from Downtown Denver, but the area feels like a suburban neighborhood. Good Location. Easy to move. Interior wasn’t seen until move-in day. Couple damages and mechanical issues. Like the amenities. Happy to have a home. Parking is a little ridiculous.

I hope beginning with the application process is enough to scare you away. If not, good luck. They hard check your credit, charged $250 for the process, then an employee contacted us who wanted MORE money as a bribe to not hold small amounts in-repayment against us. It was all so sleazy, sneaky, and slimy.
Not actually a resident, just wanted to be. We applied thinking that since our debts are all in repayment, they wouldn't count against us (as most property management companies operate), but we were told we would have to pay an extra $500 (roughly) deposit. We thought "Oh well, we'll cancel our app since we can't afford ANOTHER $500". Come to find out, this company performs a hard check on your credit, and now my credit has been lowered. I know it's not a big deal if you have great credit, but as I've been trying to build mine back up from mistakes I made in my early 20's, this is highly inconvenient, and frankly mildly infuriating. If you're highly financially secure, the apartments are beautiful and spacious. Though from my experience there are likely a lot of hidden fees and caveats to watch out for.
We've had a sewer smell in our apartment for more than 3 months now. Management made us move everything out of the two walk-in closets so they could investigate. After all this time, the new management company has decided to move us to a less desirable apartment on a lower floor, but we have to sign a new lease. No rebate for not being able to occupy all of our current apartment, and no compensation for having to hire movers again not even half way into our current lease.
There has been on-going construction for over a year and a half and no end in sight! Management has done a terrible job notifying residence when construction will be taking place, water and power are frequently out, sometimes for the entire day! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!!

Jon is attentive and works to get issues addressed quickly, most times same day! What a difference. This is an older building and having someone who is proactive to building issues vs reactive is exactly what the community needed. I highly recommend this property. Friendly neighbors and staff, good amenities with a location that offers easy access to all sides of the city.
This property has been going through a lot of transitions. There is a lack of communication between the owners and the staff and the residents. There have been two people trapped in the elevator in the past week, and now 1/2 the elevators are out of service. The off-leash dog area is limited to a small stinky corner of the yard, even though the rest of the yard is completely fenced. The community grill on the roof is out of propane. 1/2 of the community rooms are not available to use due to "renovations" that are (not) currently taking place. There is very limited guest parking, and the rent does not include a parking spot for residents (crazy at this price). Maintenance and management have no eye for detail, and requests need to be spelled out in the most specific manner in order to finish basic maintenance (somebody else's dog fur in the carpet when you move in, anyone?). The building is old and the sliding doors are sticky and hard to move due to the settling. The lighting in the hallways is dark and flickers, really ugly. Utilities are nuts expensive every month. You can hear everything your neighbors are saying if you are in the hallway (but at least you can't hear your neighbors through the walls--just your front door). On the pro side, the natural lighting is amazing and the view is excellent. Most of your neighbors are nice and it is generally a very dog-people oriented community. Not many kids, so it's pretty quiet. Good location with easy access to 25. Grocery stores nearby. Free, covered bicycle parking downstairs. You can walk to Subway, if you're into that. Overpriced for what you get, but with the housing market what it is in Denver these days, I guess residents (beggars) can't be too choosey. I hope that as the building owners and management stop handling so many changes and transitions that the focus goes back to the resident experience instead of putting out fires all the time. I'm sure management is doing their best, but they must be exhausted by having to play catch up constantly. Happy to update this review if I see good changes.
