A bit difficult to maneuver a move in/out. I also wish that upon move in there was more time spent reviewing the various apps and portals needed for living here, it felt very “figure it out”. That being said the leasing office staff are very nice which is refreshing. Overall the unit itself is nice and all appliances seem to function. Very busy in terms of resident traffic - ran into more of my neighbors on day one than a whole year at my previous apartment.

The staff is always on top of things and I always feel like they're keeping us updated with everything. I like living here a lot and the amenities are nice. Gym is small but if you find the right time you're golden.

I have lived here for a few years, and it has been a very positive experience, but there needs to be an upgrade to the older central heating system now that is too hot in the warmer winter days. Everything else is modern amenities and works very nice. The management and staff here are very accommodating and friendly. The view is amazing from the top because the location is prime in Lakeview. All in all, I enjoy living here.

The hot water is not hot. You're lucky to have a hot shower. Maintenance says they increase the boiler temperature, but it helps for the day or two, and then water is cold again.

The elevators are broken way too often. One elevator hasn't been working for couple of month. Other two were down twice this summer. No elevators for a 30-floor building is terrible.

Management for the building has severely declined. Major issues face residents, including collapsed balconies, broken front doors, and elevators. Management is reactive and defers blame for everything to someone else.

I like the apartment and the building. Maintenance is fast and effective. But the hot water situation is disappointing. At least once per week, it's impossible to have a hot shower - the water is cold. It can be morning, or mid-day, or evening. It's extremely annoying.

So far, I have really enjoyed my experience here! The staff has ben incredibly helpful and accommodating, and everyone in the building that I've met so far have been very kind.
This building has goes down n hill fast! Lived here for 4 years and have never felt with some many issues. Stolen packages (3 in 6 months) one being a very important family item I cannot get back and the buildings solution is to wait in the mail room if I know I have a package coming. What a joke!! Elevators are always broken for 30 floors!!! Takes 20 min to leave or get home daily.

There has been a few maintenance issues with water pipes, but all in all this is a great apartment building. I love how modern it is, and the staff in management are very fast and efficient. Nicole as the manager is always prompt with an answer! I love the area and the building and look forwards to staying a few more years.

If you like your mail and packages being routinely stolen this is the place for you. Interested in non-residents roaming the building pilfering your belongings? Look no further. Management will be happy to point out they’re not responsible for your property being stolen, they don’t seem to be interested in the security of the building in general. In fact, it happens so often now they don’t even bother alerting the residents anymore when it does. If you have the money to live in this neighborhood, do yourself a favor and pick a building with a proper doorman and security infrastructure.

Overall, The Wave is a wonderful place to live. The location could not be better being a block away from the lake, a short walk to the bus, a convenience store across the street and within walking distance of great coffee shops and restaurants. Maintenance is always quick to act and resolve and issues. Management is good at communicating to residents. The updates to the units themselves are good for what they are. Stainless steel appliances, nice countertops, updated bathrooms. The in unit washing machine is a two-in-one machine which I’m glad to have in unit laundry, but it takes hours to complete a cycle which is frustrating. The views are incredible from the rooftop, they offer a nice party room and have a clean, indoor pool.

Okay. Great neighborhood and unit layout/finish is pretty good, but cost of living in this specific building is much too high for the quality of the building and amenities available. Water quality is very low and no humidity management. Common spaces and roof are not welcoming or attractive. Basics like mail room and laundry in building are normal. It’s a fine place to live but I believe you can get more for your money elsewhere, or at least put the money you’d spend here toward a slightly higher rent where you get your money’s worth.

Good location, but poor management. Constant elevator problems and water shutoffs (the next one is from 9 AM to 8 PM). Desperately need a new property manager.

I've been living here for about 6 months now and really like the building. Nice place to live, with all the amenities you need and with nice and friendly management which is not easy to find sometimes.

I like it here. Just be aware that apartments B and E are next to elevators so you can hear it from the bedroom. Otherwise good. Carpet in bedrooms but hardwood floors everywhere else

Overall it has been great! I think the only ding is the maintenance on the elevators, it seems like every 6 months or so one is broken down..Other than that the amenities are great and the staff is always super on top of things, the common areas are always clean and maintenance requests always get a timely response

Spacious apartment, good sound isolation - can't hear my neighbors at all. Lake is steps away. Rooftop pool and patio are great. Management and maintenance people are friendly and cooperative.

I absolutely love this building! The amenities/staff are incredible! I typically work from home and the upstairs patio and common area are like heaven on earth. The staff is very responsive and handles things as quick as they can. One of the elevators went out recently and there was a crew there the next day working on repairs. And then another one happened to go out the same week and within a day or two it was back up again! I had a small spider web in one of the corners of my window (on the outside of my apartment in the window) and the building manager had booked an exterminator the same day and they had taken care of the issue by that morning! I cant say enough about Nicole (building manager) and Miguel(staff). They're always so friendly and personable! Nicole is always on top of things and goes above and beyond all the time! She's always trying to enhance the resident experience by sorting and delivering packages, responding to requests by residents, and booking repairs and upgrades for the building, among the many other hats it seems like she wears on a day to day basis! I had no idea this building was made in the 60's! I would have guessed it was built in the last 20-30 years with how well the building is maintained and how nice all of the amenities are! Would highly recommend this building to anyone looking for a great location thats right around the corner to some of Chicagos top bars and restaurants as well as a quick walk away from Wrigley Field and Lake Michigan!

This is my second year here and I just love it. It’s dog friendly, quiet cause of the construction of the apartments and management is very helpful. I love the location and views of the lake! I love my modern apartment with great views for two years now and can see myself here for a long time.

The apartment it self is nice but what makes the experience a 5/5 is the staff. They are always quick to resolve issues and answer questions ?? The utilities are also great! The gym, though a little small has everything you need. The pool on the 30th floor has a gorgeous view of the Chicago skyline.

Ammenities are good in general but would benefit from a slightly better maintenance. The engineers of the building are quick to respond and are very helpful.

My rating of the apartment building has dropped considerably over the past few months with staff turnover. It seems the mail room is rarely attended to, and the responsibility to keep it. Orderly has been placed on the residents. The door to the mail room is often left open, in spite of there being a keypad lock. It seems the door needs adjustments to changes in the weather. Are packages containing fresh, and Roth foods have been left in the mail room for more than a week, causing the entire first floor to smell like rotting shrimp. The best things about this building are in the low noise level inside, and its proximity to Lincoln Park in Lakeview businesses.

The building is very dog-friendly, and the location is EXCELLENT! I love living so close to the lakefront path, multiple grocery stores, and convenient bus lines.

I love living here it’s nice and quiet in close proximity to most things lake view has to offer one stop from Wrigley! It’s a safe area and literally two blocks from the lake front, you can’t beat it.
