The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at View 14
- Parcel Pending: Initial $30 fee to create account and $3 a month. If you don't sign up and have a package scheduled to be delivered, the delivery handler is told by front desk that they are not allowed to deliver the package. - Monthly trash fee is $30 and recently started charging an additional $5 to create a recycling system... Which has not been an implemented process since they opened in 2012? - There's no management onsite. The only way to reach management is via text. To include the move in process. Sorting out my lease spanned over 2 days because it took management anywhere between 5 minutes to hours to respond to my texts regarding any question I had about the lease/apartment/building.
Property Manager at View 14, Responded To This Review
Hello, I apologize for your experience with poor customer service. We will use your feedback to get better. I'm sorry if you weren't notified of those fees prior, however it is in your lease that you signed. Our team allows an opportunity for applicants to ask questions about the lease before they sign. Kind regards, Quay Neach 720-348-7620 WeCare@udr.com
Management is horrible. Super bureaucratic in how they handle things and unwilling to help residents with problems. They have acknowledged theft from the garage but won't help residents without putting them through a whole rigamarole involving DC police multiple times instead of addressing internally first. If something is stolen off your property, I'd expect a willing attitude to figure out who did it and stop theft in the future, but instead you just get nasty attitudes and completely unhelpful responses. Also, sneaky rent increases beyond what DC deems reasonable, but they flat out say they know you won't take them to court so who cares. There are nice buildings all around - go with one that won't make you want to rip your hair out every time you interact with someone on their management team.
Move-out was an ordeal... Management charged me ~$130 for a plastic crisper drawer which I did not break. I know it was damaged after I left, but since it was not noted on the move-in report and they never completed a move-out report, they pinned the damage on me. I tried to argue with them, but they threatened me with calling a collections agency. I figured it wasn't worth the hit to my credit for such a small amount. Take pictures of everything, or better yet, find another building with honest staff.
Nice apartments, horrible leasing staff that will attempt to break promises and swindle you into various fees. Also quite rude. Electric was supposed to be paid by them but never was & then they compounded those with fees. Front desk/maintenance staff is great. The rest of the management is horrible. Stay away.
View 14 is a beautiful, luxury apartment building, situated along DC's popular 14th Street. The apartment building has great amenities (a beautiful and well-maintained rooftop, state of the art gym, other community room spaces, and excellent staff) and the units are well-designed and nicely laid out. I have hardly heard a peep from my neighbors since I moved in 4 years ago, and even with a window right on 14th Street, I rarely ever hear street noise. The staff at the building is very responsive and maintenance requests are always taken care of promptly. Rent at View 14 is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I absolutely love living here!
