Although, I do let Gio and Melanie know that I appreciate them and that they are doing a phenomenal job, I want to give them a shout out because even during the renovation, they are still upbeat, friendly, professional and managing the wonderful property to make beautiful changes and upgrades. I love living here! The amenities are so convenient. It’s very affordable. The staff is so accommodating. I absolutely think this is the best place to choose to rent from in LA. It’s safe in the valley, it’s close to so many restaurants and shops. I also love that we need a special key fob to be able to come inside and access the elevator. It makes it so much safer for everyone.

In regards to maintenance, there is no communication. No one calls or emails on work order status and we are left in the dark waiting. And there is no phone number to call to follow up. A lot of things we moved in the apartment complex for don't work; the coffee machine is always out of order, the TVs don't work at all on any of the gym equipment, there is no reception in the lobby or the gym and the wifi at the gym does not work, so you can't watch TV or listen to music on your phone at the gym, movie theatre doesn't work, the cycle room is a mess, pool and jacuzzi are out of order and closed... basically, all the amenities that we moved in here for do not work as advertised so it's been a huge disappointment. There needs to be someone assigned to upkeep the amenities that people moved in here for.

I currently live here, I wish I could leave zero stars. Fair warning – this is going to be a long review. Our unit has been under construction since January 26th of this year. There was a leak from the heavy rains in our roommate's bedroom and our living room that they came to repair. The contractors blocked off half of our living room and our balcony (shoving all the remaining furniture to the other half of the living room demeaning it unusable) with a plastic tarp and then didnt come back. And didnt come back. And didnt come back. A dozen unanswered phone calls and emails to management. Until finally I threatened legal action, then miraculously someone got right back to me. Last week they finally came back to work, but SURPRISE it's been so long that they are saying the wood beams in our living room are rotting so repairs are going to take EVEN LONGER. AND my roommate's situation got worse and they had to do the same thing they did to the living room: block half of it off with a plastic tarp and shove the rest of his belongings into the other half (including the bed being taken apart and leaning on the wall). When i told them they effectively unhoused my roommate and need to get him a hotel in the meantime, they said to contact our renter's insurance. We did, they said its the apartment's responsibility. And WHAT DO YOU KNOW they won't respond to any of my emails requesting a hotel again. It's really convenient that they only respond if I threaten to sue. They said they can't give us any money off of rent until ALL the repairs are finished. So, today is day 105 of our apartment being under construction. Day 105 of having no living room or balcony. Day 105 of no sunlight in our apartment. Day 105 of rotting wood in our apartment. It's also Day 10 of my roommate having no bedroom. Day 10 of my roommate having no bed to sleep on. Day 10 of my roommate not having a hotel or other housing accommodations. This is Month 5 of paying full rent without full access to our unit. I could look past the fire alarms going off at all ours of the night. I could look past the water being shut off with no notice. I could look past all of the large capacity washers and dryers being removed with no notice. I could look past the rec room being renovated with no notice. I could look past the elevators breaking every week. Don't waste your money moving here. I will be suing.

This place is a dump. Looks great on the outside, but the inside is riddled with leaks, non functioning amenities, constant noise and water shut offs. My place flooded and has had multiple issues that go unaddressed, maintenance does not keep up. Leasing does not pick up the phone or get back to emails. They really dont care, I wish someone would have told me to run because this place has just been a burden in every way. Don't live here.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The location is the only good thing about this apartment and that has nothing to do with the building itself. My unit is invested with cockroaches, my guest room is always leaking so we had to put all of the rooms things in the living room. The mattress is in the LIVING ROOM for MONTHS because management can’t address or resolve the issues. we are now worried about black mold. Management is completely negligent. 0/10

Veda is a dump that looks great on the tour and turns out nothing works, the pool table is warped the scrabble doesn’t have the letters the shuffle board is broke and doesn’t have pieces and the tv outside doesn’t work

Well, let's start with the fact that the management does NOTHING!!! One day, the door fell out of the balcony frame, after a long time, when I had already called the inspector from the LAHD, they came and hammered these wooden sticks right up so that if the door fell out, it would not kill me with its weight. It has been a month since I reported that I have a problem with the floor and a problem with the balcony and have not received a response from them. They offered me a discount for a certain amount, but in the contract they simply infringed on my rights, and if I signed this contract, I would not be able to leave reviews, I would not be able to ask for help from the state in case of any unresolved moments, in general, I could only shut my mouth and keep quiet, because if I did something against their rules, they would force me to give me the discount that was offered earlier. As a result, what we have is a manager who cannot solve the problem and who does not even try to do anything. When I ask for any contact details from the general manager, they simply play all requests. As a result, what I have is I pay 100% of the rent, live with these stupid boards on the balcony and can't get help from them!

hi yes for years here and now we have a our best team in office an manager and maintenance we have so much to appreciate in the house and in the building. from great a/c to patios and washers in units, to our popular gym spa pool land outdoor furniture we excel by having eventsand happy hours, as well as business center and theatre and a great rec room we are also protected by good security guards currently all good, and have godo parking and neighborhood g/g

Veda is a great community and Management is very nice, approachable, and cares about residents. A few maintenance requests needed here and there and the hot water took a while to kick in each time for the first few weeks but no big issues. Overall great place to live and Management puts on many fun community events!

This building is full of drug addicts. Ive been here for two months and there have been multiple altercations with neighbors and drug related activity. Not happy
Veda has great amenities. The shared spaces are tasteful and useful. The apartment is spacious and well-designed. The building is home to a diverse community of single people, families, expats from all over, and the full gamut of Angelenos. I have had great experiences with the staff. Ventura Blvd. is a short walk away, with all the restaurants, pubs, and places to shop.

Veda offers a beautiful and modernized environment. The apartments are spacious and well appointed. It is, mercifully, a much different experience than the modern cramped "bento box" apartments everywhere: lovely room shapes, high ceilings, ample balconies.
Veda is such a nice complex it has great employees it is well kept I have never lived anywhere that they were more attentive.

The management at this place is the worst ever. I had to take them to court twice and won twice. They still haven't not paid up. Look at the floors in the apartment, they are super unlevel.
This place is amazing love the staff on every level. Super nice, super helpful I'm definitely going to recommend this to my friends

Whatever you do avoid this place. They suck you in with amenities, this place is a complete dump. The management is beyond unhelpful and there is trash EVERYWHERE! AVOID AVOID
Moved here in February and honestly regret it. There is one good leasing agent. I’ve been waiting since i moved in for blinds that actually fit the room. We moved into a dirty unit. Nobody did a walk through with us. The floors are very thin the leasing agent that took us on tour lied about how thin they are. I hear the people below us music all day long. We put it plenty of complaints and nothings changed. The floors aren’t leveled at all. Also our requests go unanswered multiple times, no one answers the phone. No support from leasing office.
I love that it is so close to everything I need. My apt is great. I haven't met any neighbors yet but so for they are quiet which is nice since I often work late and need my sleep!
Management is horrible. We have put in multiple maintenance requests that get ignored. They will nickel and dime you for everything. The properties are newly renovated but poorly done. Management is very unhelpful. They've lost multiple packages of mine. Roaches. They cut the power and water a couple of times a month because they are still renovating the building. Elevators are really dangerous, and don't work most of the time.
Really the only thing I can think off is the employees are writing the good reviews - every other week the water is being shut of for repairs - constant problems, sinks and toilets aways back up - no security and night homeless , drug addicts and more end up wondering around, the list goes on and on - oh wait BUGS!!! Parts may look "nice" it's really just for show. Ask any one of the residents.... - NO THANKS! Stay aways!!! In about a year they will need to change there name agin since that's what the do hoping the bad reviews won't follow them - very sad and the management does NOT care!!!!
The Veda - (the grand) is horrible - bugs, water shut off, back up toilets- that leak through ceilings , plumbing problems all the time, dirty (looks like a pretty lobby and nice updates but cheap falling apart) the pool area is disgusting- nothing is fixed right, loud noisy, no security in front at night - oh wait did I mention the fight with guns in the middle of the night in the lobby - They want to keep things quite so they won't tell you about all the crime people sneaking in the building, homeless sleeping on couches in back of the building or in doorways - they do not care about anything, as long as they collect there money.... that's all the maters - Do your self a favor RUN and don't ever look back!!!
If I could I would give negative stars. Lived here for 1 year and have been counting down the months until we could move out. Literally, every week there is something wrong and they don't care to fix it. The management downstairs is so dismissive to all problems. Also, my car got broken into in the gated garage and they didn't want to look at cameras or change the garage code. They lie about everything and the water/power are always off. GoodLUCK if you move here.
Water always shut off -lot no hot water with no warning - doors randomly don’t work ( like the front door Really ) don’t even talk about the elevators where are the keys to get in the building Because nothing works - this place is a joke - looks beautiful when you walk in but behind the paint there’s mold and nothing works - the worse part about it management does NOT care - there response is oh well ????? Do your self a favor don’t move here!!!
this apartment complex is a joke. They're deceptive, manipulative and dishonest. Just ask them how long the construction has been going on what they had told their tenants initially? Unprofessional manager. my car was broken in the parking structure and the security guard who'd usually find sleeping somewhere had no idea. Avoid living here, and don't make my mistake. there are plenty of good apartment complexes around the area with similar price or even less
tl;dr A nightmare in building form. Don't move in. Do yourself a favor and do not go into this building do not sign any lease do not believe the lies they tell you about when the repairs will be finished they'll shut your water off without notifying you. Their sales rep Jasmine made promises like having the repairs finished by January 1st or at least the washer and dryer in the units by that time and none of her promises were kept. When I specifically asked her if there are any other charges regarding the rent she said no and I ended up paying over 100 on average for amenities I don't currently have and have to split the cost of their constant water leaks as a shared water bill. When you first walk in the apartments look really nice and well-kept but those are just the model. we found multiple issues with are moving apartment some of which have not been repaired 6 months into the moving. Can't wait until my lease ends.
from mainetnance to grounds to staff they reock for 11 yrs here i realize what i have it is a lot they are upgrading an already good place to great. great units and patios, great a/c and heat we stand out in our events and free cofee, wifi and tv room. our gym is popular, and spa pool and sauna as well we recycle here and also have great events . our manager is amazing aand a hardworking asst manager rocks. We then speak of our greatest asset is Sean our HOst and well everything man who is so well loved Thanks Aaron for picking a great one. GOdson is a great leasing man one of the bst in time. he is cool with all. We have a great theatre most dont and a breathtaking lobby, and so much more the list is long dont miss out on a special additon to your life call the GRand and become grander. they are. I know i was here a long time and continue to give them well deserved high reviews maintenance and cleaning lady are great too pets allowed Thanks ga gold /hank since 2005
The Grand has a very friendly staff and excellent maintenance staff, but the price and quality are hardly worth it. There are constant plumbing issues, requiring the water to be shut off frequently. The rent is somewhat reasonable for the area, but it is constantly going up. Over all, I would recommend The Grand as a starter apartment to get the grips of the area because of the location and amenities, but it's not a great long term option.
With the renovations now complete, The Grand Apartments now lives up to its name. The flooring and color give the building a trendy and clean feel. I cannot be happier to say that I live in a beautiful building that is taken care of and well managed! And lets not forget, its always awesome to be able to show off to your friends and family where you live. :)
