The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Truman Park
I currently live here and fortunately I have not experienced what others have experienced in this review section. Utonga, the assistant manager is the absolute BEST and so is the maintenance supervisor, Valentin. I have had 2 leaks in my unit and both times, they were very accommodating and helpful. After both incidents, Utonga and Valentin followed up, to make sure everything was fine in my unit. I love their professionalism and compassion .
Property Manager at Truman Park, Responded To This Review
It's wonderful to hear such positive feedback about Truman Park! We're thrilled to know that Utonga and Valentin have provided such excellent service. We appreciate you highlighting their professionalism and compassion, and we're glad we could resolve the leak issues promptly and thoroughly. Thank you for sharing your positive experience!
This has been the worst leasing experience I’ve ever had. From day one, the unit was unprepared—bugs, broken fixtures, no cold water, an unfinished garage full of spiders, wrong mailbox keys, and a loud ticking noise from faulty plumbing that still hasn’t been fixed. Despite promises of daily cleaning, pest control, and secure gates, none were true. Trash piled up, gates stayed open, security was nonexistent, and neighbors were constantly loud. I submitted proof to management, but responses were slow or dismissive. Some repairs were made, but most issues dragged on. Maintenance visits were frequent, often leaving messes behind. After filing multiple complaints, staff became defensive. The manager dismissed my noise concerns as “normal,” then admitted it was loud when she visited, yet still refused to transfer me. Mailbox delays caused me to miss DMV deadlines, and my car was towed despite having a parking sticker. It took five visits to get a gate fob. A staff member even made a false comment about me being aggressive. I faced rent overcharges, a late fee during an ongoing dispute, and was served an eviction notice without support. Calls now go unanswered, and emails are ignored. I’ve been gaslit, mistreated, and made to feel like the problem. Avoid this place. Nothing they promised is true.

We are concerned to receive this feedback, as we want our residents to feel comfortable and supported here. Please reach out to us so we can address your experience with maintenance and management. Thank you, Evetta - Property Manager - trumanpark@dolben.com
In short: Water pipes bursting, zero response from management, property damaged by contractors with no concern or regard from management. Countless calls and emails, zero response from management. This has been a NIGHTMARE. If you like open walls and ceilings in the dead of winter, MOVE HERE (see photos). If you like being ignored and bleeding money in damage-related expenses that management will not reimburse you for, move here. Otherwise, SKIP THE TROUBLE.
I would not recommend this complex to anyone. When you first get the apartment you love all the glitz and glam, and then turn around a few days later needing something fix, and then it’s something else. You can tell maintenance all you want but they take their time. You can tell the property manager and she would act like she will do something about I and you still don’t see maintenance for a few weeks. I’ve been here for a year now and still waiting for things to get fixed that was brought to their attention months ago. Not only that there’s to many break ins in apartments and cars, I know they had security or police on the grounds but that no longer exists, which they obviously needs to bring back, because it’s break ins happening literally every day. You should feel somewhat safe in your own home, and not have to be on egg shells, wondering if your house is next to be broken into, or coming out side to see your windows busted or your car sitting on bricks or rocks.
I lived at Truman Park for a year and I was very happy to leave. First, maintenance seemed to come into the apartments every other week for "maintenance." During one of these visits, they cleared out previous tenants items from the water heater room and put them in the middle of our apartment, making it our duty to get rid of them. Second, we constantly received mail from previous tenants which filled up the entire mailbox. At one point, we requested the water heater be fixed because one of the showers would not get hot. The one shower was fixed, but the other started having the same issue. The complex and its elevators constantly reek of marijuana and there is also vomit in those areas. If a package is left outside your apartment door, it is very likely it will be stolen. The leasing office individuals seem to be unsure of what they are doing and will constantly tell you different information. Also, make sure you make copies and document every encounter, because they will conveniently not receive items or they will go missing. I emailed multiple times concerning a final bill, and never received an answer. People are always speeding through the parking garage. I was almost hit multiple times. The walls between the apartments are paper thin. The breezeways are always dirty. They will charge you fees for trash without alerting you. They will attempt to continue to charge you for water months after you move out. Also, the gate is usually broken, and even if it is working, unauthorized individuals will just follow your car into the complex. Based on the location, the constant gunshots, the surrounding area, the price, and the individuals who work there, I would not recommend this property.
Truman Park allows access to a 24 hour gym, and provides exceptional security with around the clock security cameras as well as a key pad accessible gate. I usually run into apartments that are noisy a majority of the time, but Truman Park is mostly a peaceful place to live. They have a seasonal swimming pool for the family to enjoy and a party room for tenants to entertain their guests. They have an on call handy man that takes care of any issues that might come up and they have a staff that is attentive to your needs. Its location also allows easy access to the metro, shopping areas, a movie theatre, and so much more!
IT IS A VERY QUITE COMMUNITY. AMENITIES ARE GREAT.
This apartment community is in a great location in Central P.G. County. It's close to metro bus & metro rail and just minutes away from Washington D.C. and Virginia. Quiet community with good amenities, close to shopping, restaurants and more!
An amazing little gem! Northampton is the perfect location - far enough away from the city but close enough to have everything in finger-touch distance. The property itself offers nicely manicured landscaping with 1-3 bedroom apartment homes -- mines is a LARGE three bedroom, newly renovated (granite counters, new appliances, flooring, 42 inch cabinets) with a patio view of tennis courts and a nice pool. The apartment offers play areas for children and a dog park (yes BIG dogs are welcome!) Did I mention the Fitness Center?! There are three large parks located near by; library, child development center, medical park and very close to the Community College. The staff here is like family -- very accommodating and friendly. This location offers a BONUS of having the Largo Town Center Metro just down the street (in walking distance). I am sooo happy to come home.
