Once part of Money magazine’s “100 Best Place to Live in America,” Olney is a charming community just less than an hour north of Washington, D.C. Largely residential, Olney does have a large collection of shops and chain restaurants at its center. Recreation is a big part of the community, and you’ll find parks and rec centers all around the area.
Visit the Olney Theatre to experience one of the last state theatres in Maryland, putting on live theatrical productions since 1938. There’s a large network of both public and private schools that serve the residents of Olney. Rosa M. Parks Middle School is one of the top rated schools in the area, and the rest follow suit, making this a fantastic place to raise a family.
