Verdugo Woodlands residents can enjoy the best of Glendale while also being near some of Los Angeles’ most popular destinations. The neighborhood is located three miles northwest of Downtown Glendale while Burbank and Pasadena are only eight miles away. In about an hour, locals can reach iconic shorelines like Santa Monica Beach and Manhattan Beach. Along with several neighborhood parks with trails, Griffith Park is only five miles away via CA-134. Downtown Los Angeles is about 15 miles away. Resting on hilltops, Verdugo Woodlands is known for its character and a strong sense of community. The neighborhood is defined by ranch-style homes and has apartments for rent clustered around Verdugo Road, one of the area's main thoroughfares.

My daughter and I love living in this complex…Rent is extremely high but it is where we like to live….so we manage….recently I signed a new lease and rent went up almost $230 No including utility…I’m hoping it does not continue this way at the end of each lease renewal.

Towne at Glendale is certainly at one of the most desired residential districts of Glendale, close to 3 major freeways. Its proximity to Verdugo Woodlands elementary school and the community college makes it an exceptional choice for the families with children or students. Pool, gim, playroom, nice foyer with mailroom, playground and safe parking are among the featured amenities. But you are to discover more. One of the few properties in Glendale that are professionally maintained by dedicated staff on site! Any issue inside of the units or outside is handled within a day, frequently the same day if there is any urgency. Hard working staff keeps the property and the pool clean. Lastly, reasonable and stable rent and security deposit make this about the best place to rent in Glendale.

Townie at Glendale is a good community to live in. Mostly family environment keeps it safe and quiet. Children get a chance to play together outside in the closed yard, which is a rarity these days! Few communities can afford that. Immediate proximity to the school and the community college makes this location exceptionally convenient. It is well managed, units are serviced timely and very well. Something in the unit does not work or drainage is clogged? It will be taken care of immediately. Even light bulbs and window blinds are replaced at the cost of the landlord. All this is in a good neighbouthood and at a quite affordable rent.

I would not recommend Towne at Glendale. There are too many managerial issues. Maintenance staff are slow to respond. It’s been 72 hours since I requested emergency assistance with the HVAC not cooling and followed up with a text message to the maintenance staff. WiFi doesn’t work in the community office area. The grills don’t work. The bridge to the pool is inaccessible. There’s no voicemail to reach management. There are many maintenance issues.

I love living here because it's a very family friendly community. My kid can run out without going into the street because this is a gated property. There are lots of amenities such as a gym, business center, and rec room, not to mention a HUGE pool area! I will be sad if I ever have to move!

Freezing pool water and other cost cutting

The pool is their big selling image but pay attention to the zero people using it - it’s not heated and always freezing. Cons: lots of cheap things in the units - from the toilet roll holders that fall apart every time, blinds that break off, light bulbs that last five minutes…. - building shakes when neighbours slam door - not walkable at all, car dependent Pros: very safe, next door to a good school, good size units, family friendly

LOVE LIVING HERE!

I have lived here for almost 2 years now and whenever I "shop around" for different apartments, nothing comes close. The location, amenities, the community, the security, and management are the BEST. I LOVE living here and I cannot imagine living anywhere else.
