Property Ratings at The View Ballston
If you are looking for an affordable apartment with all the bells and whistles of an expensive pad, this is exactly what you are looking for. Not only does this apartment have amazing views, great layouts, and access to the best coffee (shout out Isa), the management team here is amazing. They are incredible and care about you as a member of the building. The staff at the front desk and the maintenance crew are equally as kind and helpful which is hard to come by. If you want to live in a great part of Arlington, do not overlook this place.

Our experience living at The View has been very positive so far. The staff are excellent at handling requests and are always helpful. Maintenance is quick to respond whenever there’s a problem. However, one concern is living alongside neighbors with dogs. While The View is a pet-friendly apartment, some tenants misuse this privilege by allowing their dogs to pee around the apartment grounds and amenities, or by walking them off-leash (in the building, & amenities area) despite posted rules and policies. As a result, the courtyard and the backdoor exit occasionally smell unpleasant, and the lobby before was stink, though it has been masked with air fresheners.

Great area to live in. Very helpful staff. There is always somewhere to eat if you want to go out. Great park right next to the building. Easy access to the new Harris teeter.

The View has single-handedly been the best apartment experience I’ve ever had. The concierge folks are great people in and out of the office, and have made life here a breeze. All neighbors have been kind and friendly, and you can walk to literally everything here. Starbucks downstairs, Chick Fil A a short 5 minute walk, bars down the block, and so many places for pets! Floor to ceiling windows are beautiful!

Entire first floor smells like garbage, mixed with bad fake scent. It makes my stomach turn every time I have to pass through it. Never ever have I lived in a building where I was forced to smell the garage multiple times of day, something has to be wrong and idk why its not being fixed. Most of the front desk customer service staff isn't interested in being in customer service. Youre lucky if they pick their head up from what their doing, let alone welcome you into your own home. Night staff is always absent from the front desk or just straight up asleep at the desk. Current "package" system needs to be replaced with a locker system - its 2024 after all. Trying to pick up packages at night is a joke and a huge waste of my time. Level and quality of service is wildly low considering the amount of money everyone pays to live here.

Love living at the View. Over the last few years I have noticed that rent prices continuously rise with little to no improvements in the amenities or apartment complex. Hallway carpets need replacing. Unauthorized vehicles park for weeks at a time in the visitors spots. Otherwise i think the apartment and staff are great.

The View is such a nice apartment complex! The layout of the space is so well designed and the floor to ceiling windows are to die for! We have had a couple of maintenance issues with our apartment, but maintenance is always pretty quick to solve the problem for us! We would definitely recommend the View to any of our friends and loved ones! Definitely look into making it your home so we can be neighbors!

The staff in the leasing office is the bedt to I have ever experienced. Extremely helpful and accomodating. The regular concierage staff is also helpful, but the people who fill in are not. Amenities are nice and they are cleaned very regular. My only issue is that the dog policies need to be more strictly enforced. A dog peed in the elevator, and the resident did not clean it or notify the concierge. Another person walked their dog through the ground floor without holding the leash, and I saw a woman letting her dog run around the rooftop without a leash and pee. For residents with kids, like me, it creates an unsanitary environment and makes me nervous about an animal potentially biting or licking my young child.

Location is really great! Amenities are not that bad. Small gym and club room but it’s okay because there aren’t a lot of residence for the size of building. The leasing office and maintenance are very good. Can’t say anything bad to them right now and this is so important to me and my family. We feel like we are being taken care of. The reason why it is 4 star because of the experience we had with the concierge. They don’t seem very helpful. When my husband was bring multiple luggages to our floor, they didn’t even bother to help open the door. When my husband asked help to keep the elevator open, she seems confused as she doesn’t seem that alert whether to keep holding the elevator for my husband for a minute. When my husband asked the lady in concierge, he saw her playing games on her phone. So that explains why. I wished I was there to help my husband instead of dealing with the concierge office who doesn’t seem enjoying to help and even say hi to residents.

I have been at this apartment building for a year now. Despite the very high price tag I do enjoy living here. The amenities are less than many of the other units in the area. The kitchens are very small. The staff are nice. Maintenance is responsive and efficient. The building is clean and modern. I just wish the price tag was a little more reasonable.

Overall good. However, my room is above loading dock. Trash collection / deliveries are at early morning hours and impact residents sleep (at least mine)

The staff are great! Amenities are always kept clean and running. I appreciate the installation of new garage doors. Rent is getting pretty high and it just keeps increasing which is a down side; especially considering no upgrades or new amenities are being implemented . Otherwise i love the apartment complex.

In general, I think the building is well run. The maintenance, front desk, and maintenance teams are great. And Bozzuto does a great job of leveraging technology to make renting and moving convenient. The location is also great—close to gyms, supermarkets, restaurants, and metro. The reason for the three star review, though, is the condition of the apartment. The maintenance has been endless. Things break in my apartment constantly. And the apartment renovations seem to have been done quickly and haphazardly, with materials that are low quality and not durable. The shades are especially bad. They break frequently, block out little light, and aren’t even aligned correctly with the windows. The building has also had multiple water shutdowns and leaks since I’ve moved in. I think this is really excessive given the price and makes me less likely to renew when my lease is up.

Just moved in a few days ago. Too soon to tell about the overall quality of the living experience. The Bozzuto-employed concierges are great (the contracted ones are a little more hit-or-miss). The parking situation is adequate, but the key fob is excessively large, like something from 10-20 years ago. The neighborhood is excellent. And the view is amazing.

Everything here has been amazing. The concierge is friendly and does their responsibilities every day (packages, deliveries, food in the gym). The management has been great to us. Our apartment is really great, and the community is very active. We enjoy meeting and getting to know everyone here. Living here has really been an upgrade for us in every way.

The View property does a lot of activities to engage animals and their owners. It seems like they are having activities every other months. The residents and dogs are very happy with the jar of dog treats they have sitting on the desk by the concierge.

All very positive with exception of early am street noise with food service delivery trucks to first floor restaurants. Front desk very friendly and helpful with deliveries.
