The casinos may be what draw visitors to Reno, but the “Biggest Little City in the World” has become an exciting, alluring locale for renters who can look past the slot machines. Property Ratings at The Republic
Over all it’s a pretty good apartment. It’s close to campus and it’s nice to have a pool and 24 hour gym. Parking is completely unaffordable and rent is expensive. If your parents are paying your rent I would recommend this place. Your vehicle might get broken into whether it’s parked in the lot or on the street so I wouldn’t waste your money on a pass.

Roommates are nice, the complex is nice, and they offer good services. My only gripe is that it's hard to get to any form of transportation.

If you go to UNR they do have Pack Rides as well! There is also an AMTRAK station 1.5 miles away and some bus stops nearby! I’m excited to be a part of the community this summer! The employees and the leasing office were so helpful and honest as I did the tour, application, and any phone call I made for extra help. It definitely made my experience smoother.

The accommodation is great with everything. The only problem is that the front doors of the buildings and the accommodation as a whole are never closed.

I love living here! The apartments are spacious, and the amenities, like the gym and pool, are top-notch. The staff is friendly and responsive to maintenance requests. The location is convenient, with shops and parks nearby. A great place to call home!

So far I have loved how the apartments look, all the events they post, and the rent rates. My only negative viewpoint is how long maintenance took at the beginning of the semester. I couldn’t wash my clothes for an entire month. I know they were short staffed it was just disappointing they couldn’t hire more people sooner.

My son is a resident here. We moved him in a week ago. We were very upset to move him into his apartment that was filthy. We had to clean the bathroom ourselves because it was filler with food, toenail clippings and all kinds of hair. The shower had mold which was easily removed through spray. This leads me to believe that it had never been cleaned. What is much more concerning is that the balcony is completely unusable as it is completely and totally covered in pigeon droppings. We tried to call, we went in in-person to the office, we filled out a maintenance request as we were told to do and there has been no response.

Apartment was not clean when I moved in and some items were broken. The apartment itself is great and spacious. The TVs on the walls are a little dated and small but great regardless.

moving in was really easy. the rooms are a nice size and i like the privacy and connected bathrooms. maintenance is kind of slow. elevators are dirty, but overall i really like it.

Everything seems functional and good right now. However, my building keys have stopped working 2-3 times, and I never get notifications from Luxer for my packages, despite hearing from USPS that they have been delivered to the package room.

Really nice so far! Love having my own space to study and sleep! Maintenance does take a while to respond but they eventually do get the job done with a really good job.

There have been a few problems with my mail and apartment keys, but everyone was very helpful and kind. I have also heard rumors about black mold, but I haven’t had any symptoms myself.

The gym is good. There are a few machines, but I am satisfied with them. In addition, I am happy that tap water is drinkable and it is so clean.

I think the apartments are very nice. I found a nail coming out of floor and lots of wall marking as well as our fridge indented. I know people used to live here so it’s not a big deal. I like it a lot just a few minor issues

The apartment was nice and move in was easy which was great! The rooms are pretty good so not much to complain about. Some drawers had chips or paint drips but overall nice.

Speaking of management, they are completely incompetent. Maintenance requests take forever to be addressed, if they're addressed at all.This apartment complex is an absolute nightmare. Where do I even begin? From the moment I moved in, it was clear that this place was poorly managed and maintained. The walls are paper-thin, so get ready to hear every little sound from your neighbors, whether it's their music blasting at 2 AM or their constant arguments.

The Republic changed management last September and has been working hard to create a comfortable living experience for our residents. Maintenance requests are addressed within 2-3 business days unless they require parts to be ordered or vendors to be scheduled. We do try to get parts/vendors out as soon as possible when needed and if there is any delay, we communicate with each resident. If your neighbors are causing a disturbance, you can call our new security team at 402-682-7657 between the hours of 7pm-5am daily and they can address the noise complaint! I liked living here, the staff was wonderful and very friendly. A very close walk to campus, with great amenities such as the gym and pool. Maintenance was very fast and helpful, came within 1-2 days of submitting request. As well as fixed said problem very fast. Overall a great place to call home.

However, the glass that was shattered in the pool area actually caused some damage to the pool that has to be repaired by a 3rd p arty company, which goes beyond the cleaning. This is why we stress the importance of keeping glass out of the pool area to all of our residents. I really like this community. Ever since we got new management this year I can see how the Republic has blossomed into a place I can call home! The rooms are comfy, you get to set roommate preferences, campus is 5 MINUTES away by foot!! You can't do much better than this!

I loved the tour, everything looked the same as the photos online and I saw things that I didn’t know they had that I also liked. I move out there from Vegas now August 16th and can’t wait.

It’s been good. Leasing office is friendly and don’t have anything negative to say. Close to campus and isn’t too expensive for what you get

I haven't actually moved in yet, but the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to help and keep me updated! Much better and cheaper than the other apartments in the area for sure

The office has been nothing but helpful with any questions I’ve had and the maintenance is pretty quick to get things things done. Everyone is pretty nice too and the rates and offers are really good!

The apartment is very well maintained and the staff is super friendly. Most noteably there is a sense of community and events that are held every day to keep the residents entertained.

Overall pretty good. For a college student I cant really complain. I've had a great time living here so far and there's a lot to appreciate here. I really like the gym and am so happy they added a cable machine. Its also nice that they do things like giveaways and treasure hunts. Biggest improvement they could make would be getting more parking spaces for guests. Its annoying to have people park on the street and is probably not very safe to have guests leave there cars there overnight.
