Temescal is one of Oakland’s oldest and trendiest neighborhoods, and it’s not hard to see why it charms so many people. Temescal blends the old and new with a mix of Craftsman and Mediterranean-style houses and newly built apartments and condos. The iconic Telegraph Avenue runs through the neighborhood, providing residents with the quirky atmosphere Oakland is known for along with longstanding staples and newer additions.
