Good location. Quite. Friendly/ Responsive maintenance. Enjoy my loft apartment with high ceilings. Could do better job at replacing old outdated washers and dryers. Replaced our broken washer with a rusted washer. Gym could use updated equipment

The Porter has a lovely, welcoming feel to it -from the lobby, to the communal spaces, to the management staff. With my real estate agent, staff listened to my "wants". With each visit to find the layout for me, Kenisha was helpful and clear in communications. On one visit, Lyndsay was on duty and suggested a new-on-the-mkt apartment. Didn't have a balcony -but did have my request for lots of light. Today, I am signed on to that beautiful, light-filled space, readying for Move In, and looking forward to joining the Porter community. We just moved into the Porter and we love it so much. Kenisha made our moving experience seamless - she has been so helpful and responsive with every single one of our questions throughout the process. The maintenance team is so quick and has solved any and all of our move in issues. We love the area and the proximity to all of the shops and restaurants! We love our one bedroom unit and the floor to ceiling windows. The area is pretty quiet outside of typical highway sounds and birdsong. The courtyard is fantastic with well maintained grills and a great pool setup. Do wish the infinity pool jets worked but it’s a minor inconvenience.

Enjoying my time at the Porter Del Ray. The office leasing staff are detail-oriented and kind. The amenities are great and it's a very secure and safe building. Noise depends on where your apartment is. I live above the dog park and near the train, but for the most part, it turns into white noise you experience during the day.

Older apartments but great maintenance team and spacious apartments. The building could use some updating and better finishes. Love the dog park and coffee shop next door. Garage parking is easy.

Great Times at The Porter. So far so good I've been here since late December. The leasing office is super nice and everyone here tries to run down the answer to your problems. The amenities are plentiful, beautiful pools, great bonus rooms, wfh offices, guest parking, and spacious upgraded apartments. My only issue is that the building isn't the most sound proof, which is to be expected in apartment building style living (garden style offers a bit more privacy in my experience). Be aware these aren't the cheapest apartments in the area, but I believe they are worth the price given all the above and the proximity to exciting landmarks throughout the DMV.

Nice, quiet place to live with everything you need nearby. We love the access to the Potomac yard trail and the nearby dog park. The mainline blvd side is loud because of the frequent trains passing by.

We're actually really happy here, maintance is really good but we had frequent issues with our washer. Our neighbor could hear it, it was so loud, and he made complaints regularly. it was a year of this before the office finally replaced our washer :-/

Great location and Dog friendly! Quiet apartments, I rarely hear others while I’m in my apartment. Big outdoor space and a large pool for summer time.

Everything at the Porter del ray has been fabulous. The only complaint I have is the constant repairs that need to take place. For example, the freight elevator near our apartment was out for two months at a time.

Unfortunately my time here has been ruined by another resident's dog who barks non-stop, all day, beginning at 6:15AM. Despite repeated warnings to the resident and property management, the barking has continued since I moved in July. The staff are friendly and the apartment has some good things, but the constant distraction and sleep distraction has made this an unbearable experience. If you want peace, don't move here. It's an awful lot of money to pay for frustration, irritability, and stress.

Porter Del Ray living is still the best after 5 years of living in this lovely and very accommodating community. I love the spaces the services and management that is going now beyond for creating a great atmosphere with perks like food and events. Thank you for making this place home.

Great! This place is nice and it’s next to a coffee shop which is also nice and a puppy park which is nice and a rewards app which I can pet puppies on my way to get free coffee which is really nice ..money please

Great place to live with continued improvement to the property and social events that encourages socialization with fellow neighbors and the community staff. The neighborhood is safe, quiet and accessible to metro (Braddock, Potomac), grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and walking /biking trail. Explore Del Ray, Old Town, Potomac Yard and Pentagon City. There is so much to do....

I moved to the Porter Del Ray almost a year ago and generally have had a good experience. The building isn't brand new, but it is modern, well kept, and has fantastic floor plans. Maintenance staff is incredible and the front office staff is generally great, even if slow to respond to emails. Once you are able to connect with them, they are incredibly responsive to resident needs. The gym and common areas are mostly well maintained and I love the pool. Residents tend to trend a little older and professional types and are generally friendly and quiet. If there is one downside, its the noise in the area of the building. The dog park on the west side is a particular problem. There is nuisance barking continually, sometimes as early as 6am and as late as 11pm. It is crazy making with owners making zero attempts to limit disruption to residents. Its not the Porter's fault as its a city-owned park, but would strongly advise not renting a unit facing the park unless you have ears of steel!

A nice property, location is fantastic and the number 1 attraction. Apartments are nice, maintained well. Community area (grills and pool) could use more upkeep (renovating) but space is nice to have in the summer. Maintenance staff are the best I’ve ever had in a DMV area apartment. Great team!

Love living here at the Porter! So close to everything and especially how big the dog community is here. Although, raising the rent is crazy, it's a nice place to call home.

This is a well-run, well-cared for apartment community, which is rare in the DC area. All of the staff is professional, responsive, and courteous. Maintenance and custodial requests get filled on time, they organize regular community events, and most importantly, communicate with the residents early and often about anything going on in or around the building. I moved here because the reviews were so positive and was hoping the experience lived up to expectation, and it does!

The Porter is a great apartment community. The staff is responsive and friendly. The maintenance team is great! And the location is great—quiet but still close to everything in Del Ray, Old Town, and Potomac Yard.

The apartments are okay. They are the cheapest of the luxury apartments in the area but they are still pretty expensive. The walls are pretty thin so noise travels throughout the building.

The staff is very helpful, however you may need to ping them a few times in order to get answers. There have been a few times I call the front office and they say they will get back to me with an answer and never do.

I can’t say enough good things about my stay at the Porter Del Ray. I recently moved out, but only because I signed a short-term lease (I was dual-military and serving on a geo-bachelor tour, while awaiting my husband’s retirement from active duty). At the time I relocated to the DMV, I was only looking for a nice apartment close to work and the airport (as my job requires frequent travel). After a quick search online I settled on this location, and I couldn’t be more pleased. I thoroughly enjoyed living here! The apartment is centrally located and close to shopping, restaurants, Old Town Alexandria, as well as DCA. Moreover, my daily commute to/from DC was easy. An avid runner, I loved having a bike/walking trail next to the apartment which made running in the city both safe and convenient. The complex is really nice boasts great amenities and is pet friendly, but one of the best things about the Porter Del Ray is actually their staff. They are friendly, welcoming and always helpful! True professionals in every sense of the word, they are fully committed to providing the best service and support to their residents. Shout out to the lovely ladies working in the leasing office (especially Kenisha and Lyndsay) – thanks for always being so kind and helpful, and for treating your residents like family. -Kristen P.
