Located approximately 40 miles north of Downtown Phoenix, North Gateway is a sprawling community made up of open desert, nature preserves, and suburban streets. North Gateway is home to a portion of the Phoenix Sonoran Preserve, an open desert park with miles of hiking and biking trails that allow visitors to explore the green plains of cacti. Terrible Service and Management - Avoid Building 14 Our experience with this property has been incredibly disappointing, particularly with Jessica, the on-site manager, who shows little regard for residents’ concerns. We were given our lease renewal just two months before the lease’s end, which already felt rushed. During a tour with Ian—who was polite and professional—we discussed moving to another unit due to ongoing issues, like residents letting their dogs pee and poop right outside our door without cleaning up. Ian informed us we could notify management by the 30-day marker if we decided to stay, which we did—43 days before our lease ended, well within what we understood to be acceptable. However, Jessica later emailed us stating we would be charged a prorated fee for not providing 60 days’ notice. When I tried to explain the situation and point out the information Ian provided, she dismissed my concerns, interrupting me and responding with the unprofessional remark, “How do you think that’s going to hold up in court?” Her attitude was condescending throughout the exchange. When I asked for the final prorated charge ($1,226 for 17 days), she sarcastically wished me a “Merry Christmas” while handing me the bill. When I returned to request the management company’s contact information, she told me to “Google it.” This level of service is unacceptable, and residents should not have to deal with misleading information, unprofessional conduct, or dismissive attitudes from management. I strongly advise against moving into Building 14—or any building managed by this office.

Thanks for the feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re not satisfied with your interactions with our leading team.
The office staff is super friendly until you attempt to get your holding deposit back even when you’re within the 48 hour window. We were going to move here but decided to stay at our current apartment and move here at a later date but now we will NEVER live here. The manager, Jodi, refused to return our full holding deposit even though we asked if the full amount was refundable if we changed our mind. Based on this I can only imagine what will happen when you move out. Be careful not to give them any money unless you are certain this is where you want to live. Make sure to get everything in writing, especially when you move out so there are no surprise fees that you’re charged because you tarnished their beautiful new apartments. There are some really nice apartments just up the street that will be opening the summer of 2018. Good luck and be cautious with this place because Jodi tells you want you want to hear and then tries to keep money rightfully owed. After all, these people are in sales and you’re just a $$$ to them.

Thank you for again reaching out, Tenah-Ree. As you know from our email exchanges and conversation, you are receiving back your Full holding fee of $200, as you cancelled within the 48 hours. As discussed and as stated on the form, application fees are not refundable; this is stated on the holding agreement that you signed. I am sorry if you misunderstood as we are very clear that the holding fee is the only refundable portion. I am sure you can understand that we paid out money to run your credit and background checks. We would never intentionally mislead you or anyone else. We realize your statements are coming from a place of misunderstanding and anger, please let us know if you would like to discuss further.
I’m very impressed with everything!! I got into the apartment without looking and I L??VE IT!! The ladies in the office are truly great, helpful, and they actually care. I would not look elsewhere. Come and see your NEW home!! ????
