Yes, it's called Capitol Hill -- but it isn't the capitol and there's no capitol building. So how did this Seattle neighborhood get its name? Back around 1900, a real estate developer renamed the burgeoning community from "Broadway Hill" to "Capitol Hill" because he wanted the capitol to be moved from Olympia to Seattle. That never happened, and the quirky neighborhood kept its new quirky name. Capitol Hill is the neighborhood for those who love nightlife. As Seattle's premier place to party, Capitol Hill is home to coffee houses, taverns, bars, nightclubs, and theaters.
Home to artists and musicians, Capitol Hill features a variety of festivals and events throughout the year, and it is home to the Capitol Hill Arts District. College students also find their way to the Hill, which is home to Seattle Central College and is just south of the University of Washington.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Perch
I've lived here for almost a decade, so let me be the first to tell you how much I love this building. The street is serene, the location is highly convenient, the staff has changed over the years, but one of my favorite people is Yuka (she was the property manager a few years ago). She was tremendous at her job and was so lovely to all the residents. She's since been promoted in the company but I still reach out to her from time to time because she is so amazing at what she does and is very kind. The new property manager, Thad, is lovely too. He hasn't been here *too* long, but he's delightful to work with, he's really efficient, he communicates quickly/clearly and even infuses light humor to make dealing with him super-pleasant. It's a quiet mid-sized building perfect for residents who like to keep to themselves. There's literally no drama on-site and living here has been really easy. I highly recommend anyone that's interested in living on the quieter part of Capitol Hill to check it out. It's close enough to the madness but tucked away a bit too for privacy. I've slept very well here all these years :)
The Perch has everything I was looking for in an apartment and the location can’t be beat. The manager, Thad, keeps everything running like clockwork. Whenever help is needed he is there to lend a helping hand. I couldn’t be happier.
This was the first apartment I've ever had so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but after living only a week here at Stream Belmont, I can tell it's everything I'll ever want and need! First off I have the sweetest onsite management! Rosetta helped make me make my move and she was the most helpful and kindest person I had talked to while searching for a place. I live in a studio apartment and it comes with a spacious balcony which is nice when you don't feel like going up to the rooftop that has the most beautiful view of the city and the mountains (which is never). The layout is well-thought-out with nice closet space and a big bathroom. Plenty of storage. Huge windows that bring in so much light and that makes my studio feel way bigger than it is! A huge bonus is this building is LEED®-H Certified which results in sustainable living not only for the residents but community as well. The location is definitely unbeatable. With a walk score of 96! I've never had to use a bike or car. I live in Capitol Hill which is known for having a good time and I slept like a baby this weekend. It's even pet friendly! :) I feel safe in my home and I would recommend you experience this too!
