Located along the Houston Ship Channel, Baytown combines coastal living with industrial heritage. This city of over 83,000 people offers waterfront living and affordable housing options, with current average rents ranging from $719 for studios to $1,392 for three-bedroom homes. The rental market has remained relatively stable, with most unit types seeing modest year-over-year changes of less than 2%. Residents find appealing neighborhoods throughout the city's 37 square miles, particularly near the Baytown Nature Center, a 450-acre peninsula wildlife sanctuary surrounded by three bays.
Baytown's Downtown Arts District anchors the cultural scene, featuring the Baytown Little Theater and Lee College Performing Arts Center. The Fred Hartman Bridge stands as a local landmark, while the Baytown Nature Center offers hiking trails and wildlife viewing areas.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Park at Sorrento - Texas
Went in to view and rent an apartment. The office staff was extremely rude. I would not stay here if something is wrong with the unit you will have to deal with the rude staff.
The staff has been really understanding and helpful. Karinda has been a big help in resolving our problems to the best of her ability. Communication and respect goes a long way with her. She's for the people which is different from other places that i have rented but nice to have someone who understands. Kea is also very professional aswell. Anytime I call with answers or issues if she does not know she will admit but figure it out for me. I give the staff the 4 stars cause in my situation they have really been the best to work with. The property it's self has somethings that need work but I do understand what it takes and it's not something that can be done in the snap of a finger like people expect. Be respectful and mindful because the best they can do is relay the message to corporate. From there it is out of they're hands.
Do not move here. The apartment complex is filthy. The apartments are not maintained well and are infested with roaches, fleas, and other insects. Tenants allow dogs to run off lease. My apartment has mold in the bathroom and the cabinets are rotted away. The office knows of these issues and has not attempted to repair them. Oh and we have been out of hot water most of May and June. At the time I'm writing this it's been 7 days without hot water.
It is frustrating to deal with management changing every 6 months and NONE of these people that come and go do nothing to fix the apartments. 1. RIGHT NOW, they are painting the exterior of the apartments when they need to really focus on the interior and all the details each apartment has. 2. I have been dealing with STEAMING HOT WATER in all of the apartment, I am currently using a bucket of water to shower because it has been almost a two years of this issue and nobody does nothing! The last answer I received was that “plumbers do not know how come I only have hot water” wow! What an answer. 3. They expect your rent on time and now they do not even notice that your contract must be renewed and they charge a “month to month” fee. I know, me as a renter should know when to renew but I think it is their job to remind us. 4. They barely even have maintenance crew. There are only a few men working on repairs so they take extra long to work on your issues. I mean, I have done A LOT Of work orders and somehow they lose them due to the constant changing of management. 5. Front desk lady is always upset and gives you THE ATTITUDE! I really cannot wait to find a better place, but please do not live here.
This place has severely incompetent maintenance and management. The apartments are severely overpriced for what you get and simply are not worth what you pay in rent. There are many better places in the Baytown area for cheaper. I do not recommend moving here.
These apartments are terrible. When you rent from here you get half completed apartments with bigger problems covered in touch up paint jobs. The Ceilings, door frames, doors, even the AC unit, everything leaks everything has water damage everything has mold. And they do nothing to fix it. I’ve reported the problems several times and nothing get fixxed or it takes months for them to come and only paint over it. Do not rent from here. Its not worth it. I promise you its nothing just trouble here.
So I moved here ohh in November and these are the most amazing apartment I've ever lived in very well taken care of maintenance is quick to fix anything that may go wrong the manager Miss Dora is the most sweetest kindest lady I've ever met the swimming pool is all the way to 9 foot but come on they have a gym in the office which is better than any other gym that I've ever been to it's free to occupants very lenient very clean apartment very laid-back very quiet never had any problems with people partying or noise or anything like that I do not want to move ever I would live here always. The property is absolutely stunning. You have to come and check us out ohh and is very well priced.
Not worth living here all they care about it fixing up the new apartments not none of us older people WHO has been here WAY before they came into this apartment got people having leaks and maintance is only covering it with paint , ac constantly breaks the maintance men don’t know what they are doing 10/10 , roaches everywhere and just horrible costumer service
AC Unit is running 24/7 and won't shut off even though it's on auto. It's four degrees hotter in my apartment than what the unit is set on. It won't cool off and shut off. I've called three days in a row. Units been running non stop for five days now. I know my electricity bill is going to be so high. They don't seem to think there's anything wrong with it. They are saying my outside unit is in the sun so it can't cool my apartment off enough to shut off the unit. Even though they just fixed this same problem a month ago. I'm pretty sure it's their responsibility to make sure things work properly. I think they should consider putting them in the shade. I wouldn't move here if I were you!
Hi my name is Soraya and I am interested in apartment I stop by on Saturday and I did have a good experience with a leasing agent she assisted me in every question I had about the apartments previous to that I have called on the phone and I also had a good experience where they greeted me with that smile
