The Normandie is a charming five-story building that offers large apartment homes overlooking Georgia Avenue. Each apartment is complete with hardwood floors, and most with spacious closets, full kitchen, abundant cabinet space and separate dining area. You will have a full bathroom with soaking tub and vanity. The Normandie offers controlled access, dedicated on-site service team, 24 emergency on call, fitness center, and close to public transportation. We are minutes away from downtown Silver Spring and Takoma Station. We are a pet friendly community that allows one pet per home, and have weight and breed restrictions. We have studios and one bedrooms available at this time. Currently our studios are starting at $1299, and one bedrooms are starting at $1499 -$1719 with all utilities included. We do not have two bedrooms available for leasing. Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 9-5pm. We are closed on weekends however Saturdays we can offer tours by appointment between 10am to 2pm. Please feel free to give us a call to make an appointment. **We will not refuse to rent a rental unit to a person because the person will provide the rental payment, in whole or in part, through a voucher for rental housing assistance provided by the District or federal government.**

This isn't Takoma Park. Sure, the name is similar, but the difference is key: Takoma is a neighborhood in DC. Tacoma Park is a city in Maryland. And while they share a border -- Eastern Avenue Is all that separates one from the other -- Takoma residents don't appreciate being confused with their neighbor. Takoma began as DC's first suburb in 1883. Back then, this railroad community was advertised as having "no malaria, pure air, and delightful shade." Today, it is still considered a healthy neighborhood, known for its vegan restaurants and walkable streets.
Takoma is about six miles north of Downtown Washington DC and is well-known for its healthy living initiatives. The homes in the area were built around 1920 and tend to have larger yards and more trees than other metro neighborhoods. Prices tend to be slightly lower in Takoma, which makes this area very popular.

Property Ratings at The Normandie
Please think twice before leasing here. The elevator is constantly smelling of urine from animals. Maintenance is bare minimum Hallways are filthy and paint full of lead. Roaches are present and not to mention the fire department will constantly be an issue if you work from home.
