Downing Creek represents one of the most exclusive residential areas in the Durham/Raleigh area. The neighborhood sits at the eastern edge of Durham between Interstate 40 and U.S. Highway 501. Little Creek runs right down the center of this section of town, and residents enjoy access to large nature preserves and golf courses. Spacious and long-established subdivisions occupy most of the landscape. Large homes sit well off the road, offering drivers just a quick peek of some of the gorgeous, modern brick houses that have been mixed in with traditional, Southern-style homes.

The apartments have large and thoughtful floor plans, which are distinct from a lot of the other communities in the area (especially at the price point). This is a great place for a first apartment. If you can overlook roaches, a little dirt, and awful paint jobs then you should be good. In my personal experience, I just need a place to rest my head. I was expecting more but you definitely get what you pay for.

Do you like to sleep comfortably? Do you like to be able to walk without hearing pops and crunches? Well don’t move here! Because when you’re walking you might hear a loud POP! And it’s because you’ve stepped on a cockroach. That dark spot you think is wood? Nope, cockroach. The pest control treatments? Ineffective even after their recommended week! So come on down to The Morgan where all the big brown creepy crawlers are your roommates!

Overall good apartments to live in but I have had significant issues with maintenance. Since move in my dishwasher has had issues but after multiple repair requests over several months they still refuse to do anything about it. Really disappointed with maintenance (especially considering the recent significant rent increase) but the amenities of the complex and the rest of the unit are nice. Overall I like living here, just cross your fingers nothing breaks because it's going to stay that way.

The best rental community in the zone. Relax, Clean, friendly, excellent staff, accesible, close to main roads, supermarkets, restaurants. Superb amenities, such as pool/ recreational area, gym, car wash, packages hub and nature plenty of green areas.

If you work at UNC or attend classes this is a good place to live for an easy walk plus bus to campus. One way trip takes me 30 minutes door to door and that is nice. The grounds are well kept and maintenance staff are courteous and skilled. Lived here almost 3 years with no issues with noise or neighbors. The apartments are good size for the money and updated nicely. Im really happy to have chosen to live here. I would recommend the Morgan Apartments.

This is a beautiful community with awesome amenities (clean & spacious gym, pool, bus stop, etc.) & its a convenient distance from UNCs campus (about 10 minutes). Service requests are resolved in a timely manner & the indoor layout of the apartment spaces is gorgeous. I especially enjoy the open kitchen design & the porch which are perfect for entertaining guests. Noise is kept to a minimum & its a great environment to study in or socialize with neighbors.

The Morgan at Chapel Hill includes a great variety of features, amenities and benefits: its infrastructure, well maintained and beautifully kept; its location, quiet, yet close enough to the city center, surrounded by excellent restaurants, stores, medical facilities and access to main roads. Amenities such as a resort level pool and activities room areas, state of the art gym, beautiful landscaping and most important and appreciated asset, the staff. Both Administrative & Maintenance staff are unique, like the fingerprint. Next month I will start my 3rd year living in this family community that I can call Home

The Morgan is an outstanding apartment complex that requires a slight amount of work to be considered perfect. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to live in the Chapel Hill area.

Lovely pastoral setting & walkable. Pet friendly. I love the layout of my apartment. Previous to COVID, the social events from the Care Team provided a real sense of community - harder with present circumstances but they are trying!

The management staff at The Morgan at Chapel are the best I have worked with. They are very responsive and caring of the residents here. The complex has plenty of amenities including gyms and social events (with precautions and social distancing during the pandemic). The complex is very clean and well taken care of. There is plenty of green space. Trash and recycling pick up is very convenient. The Amazon package hub is also very convenient. There are plenty of parking and garages are available to rent at a reasonable price. The interior is well updated with wood/laminate flooring and granite counter tops. The location is excellent and also close to UNC. I have been all over the US to relocate for my job and this is the best apartment I have rented so far.

Perfect place for Graduate Students! Close proximity to campus and the highway is the ideal location. Super pet-friendly and great finishes in the apartment. The maintenance crew make the community. They are the best around!

I love living at the Morgan at Chapel Hill. The apartments are beautiful, the grounds are well kept, and the amenities are a major bonus. The staff is friendly and does and excellent job making the Morgan a living community.

This is a nice place to live and good value. I'm here due to location near UNC campus and golf course, and have enjoyed the peaceful and pleasant apartment and grounds. All my neighbors have been quiet and never had any noise issues with the students living near my apartment. Overall, glad I found this place to live as it's been the perfect apartment to spend lots of time during the Covid lock-down. Also, apartment management have done well with keeping us informed about lock-down rules and allowing facilities to remain open when possible. Happy with my experience here.
